BMWs leak. It's frustrating- like everything else on a BMW. When yours leaks, it's probably either the oil filter housing/ oil cooler or the valve cover. If it's the oil filter housing then you need this kit.It takes about 45 minutes to replace it if you do the shortcut where you sneak the bolt out instead of pulling the intake manifold.The gaskets are good quality and fit just like they should.You even get a bonus oil filter- which is an excellent value, especially since it was a BMW brand filter. High quality!Highly recommend.

I was a mechanic for many years and one thing that really bothered me was gaskets kits that didn't cover everything. This kit has not only the cooler gasket and the housing gasket, but also the oil filter gasket and a new high-quality filter. You may not HAVE to remove the filter, but it makes sense to in order to do this more cleanly. So this is the best kit to buy for this job.The gaskets were a perfect fit and they had the tabs that hold them in while assembling and those tabs held very tightly. So I was able to put things back together with confidence that I wouldn't be trying to fish a fallen gasket out of the drive pulleys. They seemed to be made of a good material and they compressed well when torquing them down. Felt like OEM quality. Most importantly, they worked and my oil leak was fixed.
