UPDATE 2/5/25. I just reduced a star because I have not received a response from the seller. It's been nearly a week and no response.I got this meter for hydroponics. I currently use Apera meters for EC and pH. I didn't have a DO (dissolved oxygen) meter until I purchased this unit. Below I have listed the PROS and CONSPROS- Everything feels solid and well put together.- Nice Case.- Somewhat readable instructions.- Came with extra batteries and full-size bottles of all calibration solutions.- Clear display.CONS- The temperature sensor for automatic temperature compensation (ATC) on the pH probe is not working. The display reads 32 degrees.- It takes the probes several minutes to stabilize. Even though the temp. sensor on the pH probe didn't register, the meter still showed the pH 7.00 calibration solution as 7, but it took it around 5 minutes to stabilize. I then rinsed the meter and placed it in the pH 4.00 solution. It took the meter around 3 minutes to stabilize before reading close to 4. This was with me slowly swirling the probe the whole time.SUMMARYI was shocked to see the pH probe was shipped dry. This usually ruins a pH probe. I let it soak for some time in the pH 7.00 calibration solution. It did appear to work after that but was still very slow to stabilize. When the probe is first placed in solution it reads WAY OFF but eventually finds it way to the correct reading. If the speed doesn't improve it would be almost unusable for pH readings. I have contacted the seller. Hopefully, they'll send a new pH probe. If they do and it works quicker, I'll update. The good news is the EC and DO stabilize much quicker than pH, but it still takes some time. As you can see from the picture I included my EC calibration solution was rather cold, so it took a while for the probe to equilibrate. At the time of this review the price is under $200, which is good for what you get. All in all it is a good meter for under $200.

I raise tilapia and often need to test the tanks to ensure the system is cycling properly. This has the addition of Dissolved Oxygen, which helps me keep the aeriation systems working properly. Too much aeration and the fish are annoyed, there is water loss and overspray, and too little and the fish don't breed as much, and are less active. I can keep the DO and other water parameters in check in the main closed loop system, or in any of the holding ponds. The kit comes with a number of calibration fluids and accessories. I would consider this a complete kit for the purpose. If you have a backyard pond or use it commercially this is a great meter.
