Quedó exacto en un Jetta mk6 2.5, si se siente la diferencia al instalarlo, el ralenti y al acelerar se siente mucho mejor el auto

Bought this for my wife's 2013 Passat SE 2.5 I5 to replace the cheapy Wix filter it's had since she bought it a few years back. As part of it's 110,000 mile overhaul I am doing on it, air filter was a basic thing to get out of the way first. Since a full dedicated K&N setup on my Mopar, I went the same route on her car. Changing it was the usual German affair, requiring the engine cover to be removed, 2 hoses disconnected and a million screws to be removed. Convoluted, but pretty easy. Just wish they'd used one screw type for this.Anyway once you get the engine cover off, you remove 6-8 screws holding the filter cover, do the ol' switcheroo and re-assemble. First timers, this will take 10-15mins. I should have taken pictures for the review, but my garage was pretty dark.Filter is the standard good K&N quality, well packaged and arrived in pristine condition. Made no difference to engine noise since it's in an OEM airbox location. Should do the job of filtering nicely, I'll just wash it and re-coat it with K&N cleaning spray once a year and call it good from here. You can get cheaper filters, but this one does have better flow and is re-usable.

Excelente filtro, de fácil instalación, el auto se siente más ligero que antes, aunque no cambia mucho el sonido ya que es el repuesto de fabrica, pero se nota la diferencia en aceleración y consumos

I bought and installed this in my brother's 2013 Jetta 2.5 as a birthday gift.He said he felt his car accelerate a bit quicker as well as give it a slightly raspier exhaust note. He's very happy with it and will likely get a K&N filter for his future cars.Easy to install. Biggest pain was the O clamp. It kept slipping out of the pliers. Other than that, smooth sailing.

Compared to other air filters, this has a well-made appearance and feel. If you read the K & N website, you'll learn a little big about why the design works so well. I put this in my 2009 Jetta 2.5 S. The hardest part was getting the darn engine cover off to access the air filter box. Be prepared to wrestle it off the rubber pegs. This product fits perfectly. I turned on the car expecting to hear the difference right away, but I read up on this and realized that it would take around 50 miles for the engine to get used to the new air mixture. Now I notice a slight boost in pick-up. The improvement in gas mileage might be 1 mpg or more, but what is most noticeable is the engine's smoother and more powerful pick up. It's slight, but if you pay attention to it (ie drive manual or us the tiptronic shifting) you'll notice that there is more power when getting those rpms up.Here is a tip. It says to clean it every 50k miles, but you can make it an annual thing to keep it performing at it's best. Also, when you take it out to clean it, it's helpful to have a standard paper disposable one on hand to put in while you clean, dry, and re-oil your K & N filter. You can drive around for a day while you wait for your better filter to dry. This filter ends up saving you money in the long run, as well as saves materials and keeps your engine cleaner. It's the easiest and quickest way to improve your performance and take better care of your car, besides using Gumout to keep the fuel system clean.
