I put a K and N system on my NA, 3.5 SEL.. made wonderful intake sounds... not so much after putting this on my SHO. I mean you can hear an occasional whoosh under load.. but not like the growl from the NA engine. Mostly due to the stock turbo intake maze and intercooler. I will be upgrading the rest of the intake pipes later on (from eco powerparts), hopefully that will free up some sonic pleasure.I'm very satisfied with the quality build and aesthetics of the product, and the installation was a breeze. But being so far from the throttle body, and a ton of stuff between the two... the sound just wasnt what I hoped for. $ Price was okay, competively priced for quality name brand intake systems. although this isnt a complete intake system (just goes to first bend, not throttle body).

Installed this on my 2016 Explorer Sport. Install was super easy and took about 20 minutes. Adds a nice whistle when you hit the gas. Haven’t had any issues with this item and it works very well with my tuner box.

My day 1 review: This item ships in the original K&N box. There is an amazon packing option available during checkout to hide your $300 part that gets left on your porch, unless you're not worried about it.The installation: Instructions say 1.5 hours. I had an experienced mechanic guide me through the install (No prior experience) and we completed it in the parking of our shop in 20 minutes. Instructions are spot on perfect for my 2014 SHO. Everything is where and how the instructions show and state they are. Parts are well packaged.Post install: My god, the sound. This kit brings the sound of the twin turbos to life. You can faintly hear those sounds in the cabin with the windows up, and there's a distinct but subtle change in the tone of the engine from inside. Didn't notice any drastic change in performance, but after a few engine cycles and after I somehow get over the intoxicating sound this car now makes, the improvements may become more obvious.
