Easy install straight forward instructions some steps are a little lacking however if you have any mechanical knowledge you can have it done within the hour. Highly recommend wish the piping was metal but can't have it all!

Je viens de monter mon kit K&N sur ma Camaro BVM de 2013. C'est bien fini et +/- bien expliqué (mieux vaut aller voir la video de montage sur le site de K&N). Ps: ne pas oublier de débrancher la batterie avant de commencer.Bref, après 2 heures de démontage/montage j'ai démarré la Bête. Rien de nouveau côté bruit jusque là. Les premiers mètres à froid me semblaient juste plus fluides, comme si le moteur respirait mieux ....un comble :-)Ensuite direction autoroute, faire chauffer le moteur et enfin ouvrir les gaz. Waouw! Quelle différence! Enfin un vrai grondement de V8 provenant du capot à partir de 4000 t/min et des accélérations subjectivement encore plus musclées. Je ne sais pas si la puissance promise est au rendez-vous, mais le bruit et les sensations le laissent croire à 100%.Quand on coupe le moteur ou quand on joue avec la pedale de droite - vroum vroum au feux rouge p.ex. :-) - le système d'admission produit un bruit plutôt sympa de respiration genre "Darth Vader" qui semble être normal, si on peu croire les différents forums Camaro. En tout cas ça lui va bien à la "Bête".A mon avis, un must pour tous ceux qui veulent plus de punch et de bruit moteur (au delà de 4000 t/min) sans se ruiner en accessoires onéreux. En plus le moteur a un look d'enfer maintenant.Ps:pour les sceptiques,allez sur votre moteur de recherche et tapez: "camaro k&n dyno test", vous allez être surpris!20.06.2014Après un millier de kilomètres avec mon nouveau kit d'admission, je viens d'avoir une (petite) surprise: mon moteur semble avoir des problèmes a prendre les tours. Vérification faite, j'ai constaté que le tuyau raccordant le kit au moteur avait du jeux et s'était détaché. J'ai tout serré et fixé les vis avec de la superglue: bref, vaut mieux vérifier régulièrement, afin d'éviter ce genre de désagrément. Un homme prévenu....

The published literature from K&N website states a 18+ peak horsepower increase. I don't dispute this at all, but it's important to keep in mind this is only about a 5% increase for typical applications. You may not "feel" a 5% increase in any car's performance unless you are carefully timing a 0 - 60 mph run or running a 1/4 mile time / trap speed. So please don't expect your car to suddenly do wheelies and break the sound barrier. But the bottom line is this: I have used K&N CAI kits consistently on 4 different vehicles over the past 10 years and they really DO increase power, especially when used in conjunction with other mods (exhaust). You may not feel it, but the additional power really is there if you carefully measure the performance. K&N is consistently the most affordable bolt-on modification you can make in terms of "dollars-per-horsepower." This is a must-have for anyone wanting to squeeze additional power from their vehicle.Another nice benefit is the additional sound - it's GREAT when you open up the throttle. The factory airbox really hushes the engine down (in a not-so-good way). The K&N kit won't make the engine louder at daily driving speeds, but when you open it up, you will notice more of a thundering rumble up front - it sounds great.I researched 6 other induction kits for my Camaro, 5 of which had published their dyno charts online. None of them could reach the horsepower and torque gains of the K&N kit. Research it yourself and you'll see what I mean. The K&N kit is 3 to 6 hp more than any of the competition.This particular kit installs easily in the Camaro, and I had no problems following the instructions. I had this installed in 35 minutes, taking my time. However, it helped that I've done it before with other K&N kits so this wasn't my first time. I always notice some difficulty with getting the rubber trim to stay in place on the tight edge corners on the black panels provided in K&N products. I simply add some glue to keep them in place.This is a great product and you'll see a lot of them on 5th generation Camaros at local car shows. This is a popular choice for a good reason!

Installed on a 2010 SS Camaro, 426hp 6 speed manual. Noticeable difference in engine performance. Some of the other reviews are very misleading. This does not make your engine loud. When you downshift, or you are accelerating really hard, you will hear the engine running slightly harder, but unless you drive around with the radio off, you will not notice this with daily driving. Installation was easy and the instructions were very clear, as long as you refer to BOTH the step by step directions AND the exploded view (which shows you which bolts to use). Came with everything needed to maintain all of the factory hookups including the mass air flow sensor. Keep in mind, you are opening up your air intake, not installing a new camshaft or larger pistons, so don't expect unrealistic performance gains. With that said, you will notice a definite boost in off-the-line power, as well as top end pull (or when jamming through the gears). K&N includes Dyno sheets from a 2010 Camaro indicating an approx boost of 18hp, and 18 ft/lbs of torque, which I would say feels accurate.Others have also noted that the Camaro comes from the factory with a "cold air intake" so this upgrade will not do anything. While this is true, keep in mind that the factory air enters a smaller box, then flows down the velocity tube where it goes through the air filter (that disrupts that velocity) and then makes a couple of sharp turns before getting to the throttle body. The KN upgrade starts with a much larger box and filter surface area, then the air goes down the velocity tube almost straight into the throttle body with no disruption to the air speed. This is where the extra power and change in sound comes from; the engine getting as much undisturbed air as it needs without have to gasp for it. Very well designed product and a great bolt-on engine upgrade.

To begin, I should mention that I am completely inexperienced in auto maintenance/repair/tuning/etc. I barely know how to change my oil, and I never do it myself. But the instructions were so clear, accompanied by photographs for each step, that I decided I could pull it off. Working alone, it took me only about 1.5 hours. I put in the air sensor in backwards (the instructions do tell you to double-check) and as a result the car died after only a few seconds. Once I figured out what I'd done, I fixed it in about 2 minutes. It is easy to put it in backwards, since Chevy has a reversible sensor. I had just two minor issues with K&N's product. One, a step required me to put in a bolt and washer, but the bolt was too big for the washer. No big deal, I just left it out and it doesn't appear necessary. Two, everything's in metric. I had to borrow a set of metric Allen wrenches and sockets. Annoying, but hardly a major issue.As for the intake itself, wow! I am getting my exhaust done tomorrow, but already I can hear an improved roar from the engine, and I think I can notice the difference in power. K&N says 18 horsepower, and that might be too little to actually notice (an increase of about 5% at the wheels), so maybe I'm just imagining it, but I don't think so. It definitely seems faster. Also, the new hardware actually takes up less space under the hood, and that's always gratifying in a modern car. It also looks sleeker, not that people are staring under my hood as I drive by. All in all, I am impressed in almost every aspect. One additional note: the rubber grommeting around the heat shield has to be put on by the user (it seems like it could have been put on by the factory) and is kind of a pain. Bring a serious knife, as you will have to trim it and it has metal inside. Shears might not be a bad idea.
