Amazon.com Bolster your band saw's accuracy with this Precision Band Saw Fence from Kreg (model KMS7200). This fence is adjustable in two dimensions, and sets parallel to the blade with ease. A precision lens cursor reads off the included scale and enhances cutting accuracy and repeatability for high production work. Incredibly strong and rigid for optimal durability and tighter work pieces (view larger). Most band saw blades don't run perfectly perpendicular to the front of your table. There's always just a little bit of "drift" that prevents you from getting precise cuts even with a fence. But Kreg's Precision Band Saw Fence easily adjusts to your blade's drift angle to provide you with a whole new level of band saw accuracy. This fence mounts to most 14-inch band saws right out of the box (including Jet, Delta, General, Grizzly, and many others) and can be modified to fit many others by drilling a single hole in the aluminum mounting rail. This band saw fence enables you to accomplish a wide variety of cuts. It adjusts both for blade drift and for perpendicularity to the blade (essential when cutting thin veneers). In addition, the fence can be removed and reassembled in a low-profile position to allow the blade guard to be moved closer to the work piece. Last but not least, the fence can accept resaw guides or our stops for use in additional applications. Rigid DesignThe aluminum fence is incredibly strong, straight and built to last for years to come. The face and top side of the fence contain t-slots for adding stops, resaw guides and more. Easy to Remove When you don't need the fence, remove it in seconds - no tools required! Just loosen the locking knob and lift the fence from the mounting rail, below your table's surface. Precision Lens Cursor Magnified and easy-to-read for even the smallest adjustments, the thin red line on the Precision Lens Cursor lets you accurately set up the fence for cutting veneer, tenons, and more. Adjustable in Two Dimensions This fence is unique in that it adjusts to set up perfectly square to your table and blade. Two simple adjustments allow you to set the fence to match blade drift, greatly enhancing cutting accuracy. See larger image. A tool and die maker by trade, but a woodworker out of necessity, Craig had a problem. Not wanting to nail them on and then fill with putty, he designed and built "Craig's Jig" which was a single-hole pocket hole jig crafted from steel and aluminum that allowed him to attach the face frames from the inside of the cabinet where the joint could be hidden from view. In the intervening years, Kreg Tool Company has emerged as the leader in Pocket Hole Technology. From the manual Kreg Jig to the fully-automatic Pro Series machines, Kreg offers a simple solution that has changed the way thousands of woodworkers join wood. Well engineered provides a firm and stable fence on a bandsaw. Need to be aware that the rail fastens onto the table of the bandsaw with bolts into holes tapped into the front of the table. My bandsaw an Elektra Bekum did not have these tapped holes. I had to drill holes in the cast iron table and tap these to be able to fix the front rail. Not difficult if you have the tools.

It was worth the investment - I was very impressed at the overall quality and how easy it was to install on my bandsaw.

The only problem I had was that the vertical adjustment was insufficient for my band saw but with a home made adaptor plate it is now installed and the fence is working well

Installed this morning. Took about an hour. Overall this is a surprisingly high quality fence. Here are some tips on installation which you may find useful. Keep in mind this is for my 14" Jet so if you have a different model my advice may not apply.1) Put a washer between the rail and the table. This will keep the fence from interfering with the table which can happen if your table is not completely smooth. You can see this in one of my pics where the bolt holes are on slightly protruding portions of the table. A nice touch by Jet, but I noticed that the fence would sometimes catch there when I was adjusting it.2) Cut the measuring tape before you attach it. It is made of pretty tough stuff. Easier to trim before you stick it to the rail. No need to make it flush on the left - that part will never be used.3) When attaching the fence rest the fence on a couple of washers before you tighten it. This will keep a nice even gap between the table and the fence. I prefer having this gap as it prevents sawdust from collecting there.4) Lubricate the rails. I use paste wax which seem to last a long time.5) Kreg provides a couple of extra set screws. I guess those are easy to lose. In any case simply tape the somewhere on the fence so you don't lose them. I know if I put them away I would never find them again!A couple of nitpicks or possible improvements.1) I would be nice if Kreg provided an insert for the slot on the bottom of the fence which would allow the fence to glide smoothly on the table when loose. In fact, a few of these would be useful to have.2) The measuring tape only works for one orientation of the fence. Not sure what can be one about this. Also, pretty sure most wood workers will measure the fence distance directly rather than rely on the installed tape.3) The fence does fall slightly when moved off the table. Again, not sure that to do about this. Not a big deal anyway.ConclusionOverall, pretty happy with this fence. Sure beats the OEM fence and for the price is a nice upgrade. May get the resaw attachment but probably not the micro adjuster, although that looks tempting.

I recently bought a 14" Delta Band Saw on closeout from Lowes. The fact that it didn't come with a fence didn't bother me since from everything I read, told me the stock fences just weren't all that good. I did my research, and learned about correcting for drift, adjusting parallel to the blade, etc. I read a few of the negatives for this fence, so I set out to find something better in the same general price range. I just could find anything that I thought would be better. So I bought this fence from Amazon. I unpacked the fence, read the instructions, and proceeded to install the fence. It fit my Delta saw like a glove. No Need for any drilling for my saw, and I had it installed in just under 30 minutes (including the adjustments). About the only negative was the glue holding the measuring tape . It came off the tape, but not the paper on the other side of the glue. Fortunately, I only pealed back an inch or so before noticing this. I can see where I might have to replace this down the road. But once I figured it out, it went on smoothly. And the other negative is that the fence doesn't go all the way across the table. Not a huge issue, and I probably won't ever really notice it anyway. Then I made some test cuts on some 4" high maple (I don't have the riser block on my saw). I was using a 1/2 inch Timberwolf blade, and it cut smoothly through the maple with very few saw marks. I then tried to cut a block into 1/4" slices. The final slice left about 1/16 (or slightly less than 1/16") as the waste. But that piece was as clean as the thicker slices. When I showed my son the slice, he was really impressed. He said he thought I was handing him a piece of sandpaper. It was so thin, you could light coming through. All in all, I could not be much happier with the fence.OK, here's my detailed ratingsPackaging - 5 stars. Everything was packaged correctly with no missing parts.Instructions - 5 stars. Very good instructions with clear pictures. I really liked the tips.Quality - 4.5 stars Would be 5 except for the length of the fence. Time will tell on the measuring tape.Function - 5 stars There is a little play before locking down. Not a big issue, and it set easily.Value - 5 Stars For the price, I don't think you could ask for more. (Ok, maybe a fence a few inches longer)
