This replacement battery is very bad or maybe I just received a bad one. When it is fully charged the battery life last about an hour at most, which is even worse than the original I was trying to replace. The only thing I am doing are reading online comics and not even streaming and still the battery life is about an hour at best.

The ubreakifix wanted $150 dollars to replace the battery. My battery was already almost to the point of exploding, and had already popped the screen lose from the iPad, so removing the screen and battery was easy. These are the smallest four screws I've ever seen in the iPad, to remove the battery connector and connector cover so be careful with them just fyi.It only took me about 20 minutes watching a YouTube video.I saved $130 by doing it myself, and the battery is going strong 2 months in.

My iPad was only lasting about an hour so my choices were to pay for a used one at around $300 which might end up having similar battery issues, buy a new one at around $800, have someone else put a battery in for around $100 or try it myself. For $30 my iPad has the original battery life. It took me a few times to seat the screen ribbons back in and the screws are really tiny but very happy it’s all working great.

Problem solved, my daughter ipad mini 4 didn't hold charge, I saw many reviews on this product complaining about the replacement difficulty, ok that's true but this has nothing to do with the battery quality, the process is not that easy, first you need to be somehow experienced in dealing with electronics and especially phones and lcd replacement, you also need heat gun or heat pad (i have professional heat gun where i can chose the temperature)Now the second thing is you need to be patient and tolerate waiting long time to start melting the adhesive between the screen assembly and the frame, never use excessive force, it shouldn't take much effort to start removing the lcd. If it's not coming out then wait and keep heating the edges, also be very careful and start removing from the top and never from the home button so you won't damage the lcd cables (and that's for ipad mini 4 other models may differ) after removing the lcd carefully but not fully because you still have to remove the cover plate that cover the cables, then remove the cables and set the lcd aside, start removing the battery little by little by inserting the tool given with the battery underneath the old battery and work your way out to remove the glue straps. Then remove whatever you can from the glue residue and install the new battery.NOW. Be careful. Don't close everything before making sure the battery charging and the touch screen works, many times you think you installed the cables properly but they are not fully engaged, and never use force while installing the cables to prevent damaging them. Be gentle, it's electronic not car engine. After making sure everything works, battery is charging then put the screen back. There is one more thing I forgot to mention, I use double side tape used for cell phones because the old adhesive won't be efficient anymore, and I remove the old adhesive gently before installing the new double sided tape. All above were advices and suggestions how to do the job. Let's talk about this product. It worked perfectly, no overheating, full charge is holding for very good time. My daughter using it alot and by the end of the day it still have charge. The kit came with everything I need except the heat gun and double sided tape which I already have.My daughter happy. I am happy. Hope you all be happy.I highly recommend this product

Watch videos about how to open up your ipad first so as to be prepared for what needs to be done. I used a hair dryer and a single edge razor blade to begin prying my ipad open. The flimsy plastic “guitar pic” pry tools that are included are NOT good for the task. Mine melted under the heat of a blowdryer. But the battery works well after completing the install.
