Doesn't heat up high enough to warm any dragon and the plug got very hot. Will be returning.

This is a great warm pad for small animals/reptiles. I bought this for my baby tortoise. I think some people who left bad reviews saying it's too small or it's not hot. They don't bother to read the description and convert the size to inches or even read the size description at all.. Some even bought this for their cats etc..it's made for "small animals and reptiles"..this is not supposed to produce so much heat to where it burns them...this is supposed to keep them warm comfortably. I think the warmth is the perfect amount for a small animal/reptile. You definitely dont wsnt to burn their bellies. I assume if the ambient temperature of your animal's closure is way too cold, this pad would not feel as warm to you.

Can't make the temperature rise very high, but the constant temperature is designed to keep my bunny warm.

This heating pad warms up fairly fast and the temperature control works great. It's the perfect size for a hamster, as described and indicated in the photos. (In fact, it's a little big for a dwarf hamster!) You could use it in their enclosure laid flat or put it against the wall, which is what I did since my hamster didn't like sitting on the fabric itself. The medium setting is great if you put bedding over it, though.My hamster didn't attempt to chew through this, so I can't say for sure that it's chew-proof, but it is pretty sturdy material. The only thing is I don't know how I would've cleaned it if my hamster peed on it or anything. But overall, it's a great little heating pad to keep your small friend warm for the winter time.
