Bought these to replace a set of 8-oz since glass had a habit of breaking. They look great and the fact that they're stackable makes them fantastic when you don't have an overabundance of storage space. However, every time I put anything cold in it, which is every time I use them, there is a cracking sound like when you put ice in a drink. They're not used often, I prefer to use my taller thin plastic cups more often than not, but one of the cups now has 2 sets of cracks along the base they look like they're growing towards each other and I'm worried that the next time it gets used it'll break apart. Totally defeating the reason I got plastic cups in the first place.

I got these for theater props as we don't like to have real glass on stage and these really look like cut glass. Very nice quality. I accidentally washed them using a plastic scrubber (like on the back side of a kitchen spongue). I scratched them and had to repurchase them. I don't think a plastic scrub should scratch them like that. I wasn't scrubbing all that hard, just giving them a quick wash after each performance. So get them, but don't scrub them. We don't have a dishwasher at the theater, but they may do better washing in a dishwasher. Update: after writing this review I checked the item and it specifically said not to use a scrub when hand washing. Ugh! Next time I will read better. I would buy more in the future if we need more.
