I bought them for a soup kitchen that I volunteer for a lot.They are colorful and withstand the dishwasher there. However, they stay a little greasy unless I take the time to clean and rinse them well before putting them into the sanitizer.

Recently downsized my kitchen dishes since it is just the two of us these days. However, I needed enough plates for when all the kids and grandkids show up for a quick summer dinner. These fit the bill. Colorful and fun, sturdy enough for steaks on the grill but thin and light enough for easy storage.

Buying Birthday plates and cups every year started to feel very wasteful. So, to Amazon I went. These sturdy, re-usable and ultimately recyclable, colorful plates are perfect. I can imagine that they will last pretty much forever. So, now whoever is celebrating a birthday in my house gets first choice of the color they get for the special dinner, then we wash it and use it again (and again, and again). Fabulous. But, these are kind of thin, and be careful if you have something that requires a steak knife. That would mar these pretty substantially.

I bought 12 plates (2 sets) to replace an old set of Tupperware plates that were pretty beat after several decades of use, and to make sure I had enough for all those times that come up when you want to take a snack out on the deck or you are worried about dish breakage when all the kids come over. The plates are colorful, light weight and strong. I can run them in the dishwasher without a problem. The only set back (and its a minor one) is having to remind everyone that they can't be used in the microwave.
