It comes in multiple pieces, with all of the "crystals" (which are acrylic but look nice nonetheless) separate and needing to be attached. This takes a significant amount of time as there are.... a lot of crystals. However, the end result is visually quite stunning, and it appears very close to what is pictured in the listing. The materials and construction of the rest are decent, with it being all metal. The welding is a bit messy looking at times, but the paint (or whatever method they used to apply the gold coloration) looks good enough without any overt defects. The hoops that hang below the main body of the chandelier are also metal and are stiffer than I expected, and are good enough quality to hold the weight of the "crystals" without any fear on my part of it deforming. Installing the rest of the chandelier is relatively straightforward, with a standard, albeit somewhat cheap feeling (but still metal) mounting base.Overall it's a great looking chandelier, though it's a giant pain to assemble. I do kind of wish that the "crystals" were at least glass, but at the same time if one gets knocked off on accident I'm also glad I don't have to worry about a piece of glass shattering all over the ground; so perhaps it's not such a bad thing that it's acrylic.
