My pen came in a plastic bag not with the packaging at all and no documentation or warranty. It was supposed to be a lefthanded pen but I don’t believe it is. It doesn’t write smooth at all I will be returning and buying from the lamy store !

I love fountain pens. I always have. These particular ones are easy to fill, when you have the converter, easy to use, and absolutely lovely for drawing with. What else can I say about it.

Excellent writing ability and very smooth from the outset and very economical to buy. Possibly the best value for the money. The grip and barrel are profiled for a secure grip and to help maintain the 'sweet point'. Supplied with a single blue cartridge but the filler adapters are more economical in the long term. Reserve the cartridges for emergencies when you don't have an ink bottle with you.

There isn't much to say about this pen. It's a Lamy Safari, and like all other Safaris, it's a great fountain pen. The ink flow is smooth. Mine took a little bit of writing to write smoothly, about a page, but I guess that's kinda normal for a new pen. The pen is light, but not too light. It's made of ABS plastic, which is comfortable to hold and pretty resistant to normal wear. If you'd prefer something similar but without the plastic body, Lamy also makes Al-Star fountain pens, which are pretty much identical except they're made of aluminium. The little triangular grip helps you hold it properly, which is a nice feature if you're not used to fountain pens. New pens come with one cartridge (generally Lamy blue ink), which is enough to give you a good appreciation of how your pen works. You can buy replacement cartridges in a variety of colors (around 10 at the moment), and this model is also compatible with Z24 converter if you prefer to use ink bottle. This listing is for an extra-fine nib, which is good for writing, but maybe not the best for quick writing (taking notes, etc.), since it's dryer than larger sized nibs. There's no way I could really explain how "fine" it is. Think of a freshly sharpened pencil, maybe. Lamy nibs are generally wider than other brands, which is why they make an extra-fine.You can probably find comparisons with pictures somewhere on the internet. Most Lamy pens use the same nibs, so you can easily switch them if you'd like, and you can also buy different size nibs online (extra-fine, fine, medium, broad, left-handed, 1.1, 1.5 and 1.9 mm).The only difference between this pen and other Safaris is the color, as Lamy produces limited edition pens each year. This one is from 2012, if I remember correctly, and it's a very nice green, generally referred to as "apple green", although I find it to be a little less yellow-ish than something I'd called "apple green". The pictures are pretty accurate about it, and you can find more online to compare if you'd like. I hesitate a bit between a regular safari (white, red, yellow, blue or black) and this one before purchasing this color, because this one is a bit pricier, being a limited color and all, but as soon as I got it in my hand, I knew it was a pen I'd keep with me all the time.
