Would not recommend. First of all: Even though there are guidelines that you can cut out and place on top of the various cloth pieces to help with more accuracy and less waste almost all of the guides were too short. Second (and most frustratingly) nothing seems to stick. Tried 3 different types of glue, waited for (several) hours four it to dry etc. And the pieces still do not stick. I feel like many pieces are too 'floaty' What I mean by this is when you are gluing parts together, they don't have anywhere to slot in so to speak which I feel makes it more unstable. Case in point- my last miniature (different brand) had furniture that could stand without glue. It's recommended to dab some on there for more security, but the slots helped it stay in place.To conclude I'm sure other people have enjoyed this set but I can't say I would recommend and I probably won't buy from this brand again. It's a shame I am not able to return this

This is a great DIY kit as someone who has done quite a few kits. The low reviews seem to be from people who aren’t really interested in a DIY kit. Yes you have to cut out paper and fabric; upholster small chairs and a bed; create items from “random pieces”. That’s the whole point of the kit. I had no issues with missing pieces or value, it was a fun 2 week project.

I love these little houses, they are so much fun. I purchased this for myself because I enjoy feeling like a kid all over. The best part is that these are more adult friendly than kid friendly.

I was so excited to do a three level miniature and to try my hands at upholstery with the bed, chairs and couch, but I'm actually giving up on this one. I've fought through wanting to give up on something or other with most of the minis I've ended up finishing anyway, but with this one... man, I just couldn't. Much disappoint.Firstly, my biggest complaint: railings. Obviously, there are a ton of railings in the 2nd and 3rd floors, naturally. Sadly, you are meant to pop these railings out of a bigger sheet of wood, a very thin piece of wood. The railings are tiny with extremely thin posts and wood between each and every post. I did my best to pop these things out as intended but this was physically impossible to do without damaging, or outright breaking, the railings themselves. I just ended up with bits and pieces of railing and not one usable portion from the several sections I tried to free from their woody prison. I'm not a novice at this point. I've made more than half a dozen miniatures similar to this one, most with lots of pieces that must be popped out. Not one has been this difficult to work with. I was really enjoying building this set even though I ran across a few other issues while doing so. The back of the couch isn't wide enough to glue to its armrests once you've upholstered the arms and the back. This leaves a gap between the back and the arms which I covered with pillows. Pillows I sewed because gluing them together yields misshapen finished products. The backs of the two green chairs on the second floor are also uncovered, showing the cardboard you made them out of. The back of the chairs does show once placed in the mini, which i fixed by using scraps of the fabric to fill in the uncovered portions. The pretty stained glass windows are also problematic, as they are stickers that remain exposed to dust and fingerprints even once you've finished making them. This means your windows get grungy just from you handling them. The stair railing is also a sticker and does not glue down to the steps well. I just gave up on that, too. Speaking of stairs, mine needed at least one more step to reach the 2nd floor. I constructed it as indicated, yet I had to cut an extra step out of leftover wood to make it reach. Furthermore, the proper placement of the wires is not clearly shown in the directions, leaving you to just figure it out on the fly when you realize you've got random wires with no home. Lastly, the chandeliers, which are incredibly difficult to create accurately, hang down so low that they touch furniture on the 1st floor. Obviously, this looks pretty weird and jankity. Overall, the directions are also particularly unclear and unhelpful, even when compared to other minis I've done. This makes the whole shebang a pain to figure out, even without the other issues.Those are my complaints, but this kit isn't all bad. The kitchen counter/stove/sink section is very cute and well thought out, with an actual sink and faucet that looks lovely. Though a challenge, the two 2nd floor chairs were fun to make and turned out very nicely. Several of the lamps are clever and unique, at least in my experience. The lampshades are a pain, but I'll chock that up to my own deficiencies. The couch is adorable and, despite not quite going together, turned out cute. The bed was also fun to make and looks lovely. Ialso love the see-through piano, which was surprisingly easy to make.Unfortunately, I would not recommend this kit, but it isn't all terrible and could be fixed, mostly by providing the railings already popped out and ready to go. Everything else i could deal with, but the railing issue just tanked the experience for me. I love seeing my miniatures finished, but I can't achieve that here... there are too many broken railing bits to glue them back together again. I would have given this a 5/5 had the railings been somewhat functional, all other issues aside.
