Unlike most of you, I was looking at this item to keep water IN the bag, so that my ice will not leak inside my lunch cooler on short trips. I don't like the mess that watery ice leaves all over my food packages, so I like a dry cooler space. I usually use double Ziploc bags (one inside the other, both zipped), but the melting ice always leaks. I thought I would give this a try and it works GREAT!I am sure that it also works to keep water OUT, but that was not my intent. It is well made, very pliable. The only issue is a slight difficulty in opening and securing the bag, but that is because I have bad arthritis in my hands. Once closed it is a great seal, though; even air did not seem to get out (I squeezed it to see if it was airtight).

La compré porque vivo cerca de la playa y en el sureste de México, entonces hay muchos lugares para hacer ecoturismo. Y está bolsa es de muy buen material y tamaño. Compré ese modelo porque es el único que tiene un color liso de un lado, así solo se ven las cosas que traes de 1 lado, y los demás modelos tienen ventana transparente de ambos lados. Llegó a tiempo y la estrene en Xcaret, Quintana Roo, México. Los broches sellan muy bien y no entra el agua, solo tienes que abrirlos y cerrarlos con cuidado, porque si eres de manos torpes los podrás romper. Es un producto bastante útil para cargar cosas de valor en los lugares donde hay contacto con el agua.

It served its purpose for a few outings in kayak. But after 10 usages, the sides started to rip off and therefore, did not served its main purpose - keep its content waterproof.Don't waste your money on this.

This bag does keep your belongings safe from water. Just to be safe, I combined it with a waterproof case for my phone. It made our beach adventures much more enjoyable without worrying about our valuables!
