Perfect for students finding out about fractions

This was a perfect learning tool during this virtual school time!!! And this was the only one that came with the sheets of fraction comparisons with activities for them to actually see the fractions and understand mixed numbers, etc....all the other ones on amazon had just the blocks or just blocks and stand...i HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting THIS exact one, the activity sheets that come with this one are worth it!!! unless YOU want to make up all the comparisons yourself and drone on and on to your child, or you can get this and they can SEE the concepts they are learning using the sheets. I do wish it had decimal and percentages already written on the other sides of the blocks (tho the fractions alone have been enough for us so far, for now), but it's nothing a sharpie couldn't take care of, if you want those on there as well!!!

Este producto lo comprée en oferta me costo menos de la mitad de lo que cuesta normalmente, pagué solo $200 MXN es muy buen material manipulativo para entender las fracciones, las piezas son de muy buena calidad y los colores muy buenos , las tarjetas de ejercios son claras y entendibles, ayudan a entender mejor y puedes escribir en ellas con marcador de agua y borrar. Me hubiera gustado que trajera por las otras caras porcentajes y decimales.

This is a fantastic activity set. It has made learning fractions so much more fun. The activity set contains 9 towers, so starting with whole 1, next one being 1/2, then 1/3,1/4 working all the way down to 1/12. It's brilliant way to help a child visualise the fractions. The 1/12 has 12 cubes whereas 1/4 has 4 cubes, the towers when altogether are the same height so visually you can explain for example how one 1/2 block is the same as two 1/4 blocks.The set comes with a stand and activity cards. So the cards slot on the back (as in product picture) and the activity is completed using the stand. There are a variety of questions, enabling a child to understand addition and subtraction of fractions. The set also comes with an activity guide, which is very useful when working through each activity.I am a firm believer in teaching through play, and this is one example of teaching what can be a complex topic through play making is so much more fun - and child learning without actually feeling like they're being 'forced' to learn.

Bought for my grandchildren. Parents very please as it is a good aid for maths homework and will hopefully be used for some time to come
