This is the third set I've had. I've had many others at higher price points but for the farm this is my preferred setup. The Velcro on the pouch wears out in a year and you have to sew new Velcro on. Otherwise you have to buy another one when you lose it and get emails about writing a review on Amazon.

I now own two Leatherman multi-tools. These (and this one in particular) are awesome. It's one of those things where you never realized that you could use one of these until you get one of these. I use mine every day.

I've been a fan of Leatherman products for years. However, I'd somehow misplaced my original and was looking for something to replace it with. This fits the bill nicely. As others have mentioned, it is probably too bulky to wear in your pocket, but I wear it in the nylon carrying case on my belt and have no issues with it - in fact, I often forget it's there until I need it. The tools themselves are good, although the flat head drivers are on the smallish (narrow) side. The saw blade and the serrated blade are very thin, but I'm not sure how much use I'd get out of those anyway. The saw blade in particular has some wicked teeth, but the blade itself is so thin I'd be worried about cutting with it... Good product overall, though. I'm pleased.

Awesome, I always wanted to buy and carry one but never felt like they were worth the price. Well I was so wrong, I broke down and bought this 6 months ago and since then I have carried everyday. I have used it at my roofing job, my framing job, used it to open pain in the ads toys for the kids. Used it for cutting finishing nails, cutting bands from lumber, to sharpening pencils, and trimming limbs that were hanging over onto roofs we were replacing. I used to carry a basic folding blade in various brands over the years and rarely used it. This leatherman has quickly become my favorite tool. And the case looks cheap and kinda feels is but once it is broke in its comfortable and I carry horizontally because it doesn't poke you when you sit. I was ginseng hinting recently and had a root that had two roots coming off the same neck and they were growing straight down over a root one on each side. I spent 15 mins trying to dig and pry them out, used mattock flat screwdriver nothing was.working. then I remembered my leatherman. I sawed the. Root on each end of the hole removed carefully from under the ginseng root and proceeded to dig down and remove the root. A big saw would have never worked without beating the ginseng to death. There are many other things I have used it for. And it is holding up well. I will update in another 6 months. Also the loops on the case.case look weak but they are not.

I like this multi-tool very much because it is very practical. Its a nice size without being too heavy or large, but its smaller features don't take away from its functionality. I also have to say that for the price it was a steal, I waited for it to drop to 36.50 and swooped right in just before it shot back up to around 48.00, so if its something you want or like, keep an eye on it because it can save you a tidy amount, although I find it odd that the silver one is much cheaper than the black one, the price difference is too much for the same tool with a different color. The lockback function on this item keeps the tool pieces tight and secure while in use and the blades all came nice and sharp and of great quality. One thing that I would have liked to have been part of it is if the pliers function had spring-action, I have a cheaper multi-tool that I keep in the glove compartment of my car that has that spring function and it makes life easier when you're using either the pliers or wire-cutters instead of readjusting it with both hands with each ply or cut. Leatherman has other multi-tools like the Wingman and the Sidekick that have the spring-action but I feel like this is a better tool for the money, despite not having that amenity. Overall I do recommend this item if the price is right.
