So happy I found this. We had many floppy disks with pictures on them. I copied them to my pc. Now my husband will be 'touching' them up. Memories forgotten!

Who uses floppy disks anymore! My kids don't even know what a floppy disk is, but i do know, and had quite a few of them lying around my house drawers, with ancient photos and documents, that i didn't even know they existed anymore. So this floppy ready/writer helped me save those files i had for almost 20+ years just lying around, that brought back so many memories! The reader works great! And windows 11 recognized it instantly!

Followed instructions, was never able to make it work. It never mounted as a drive. Just sat there whirring and making a strange warbling noise.

I'm one of those mixed tech generations. I owned a VCR as well as a laserdisk player. With computers I had to load programs with my huge floppy disks. I went to college to be a teacher and used the 3.5 inch disks to put all kinds of homework on including lesson plans and classwork needed at the time. I kept all those disks when I started teaching, however, tech decided that they would do away with those drives. So here I was stuck with everything on those disks that I desperately needed with no way to get them. This worked so well and it is plug and play. It was great to see all my files again pop up on the screen and now I can grab what I can and save them in a better manner.

i have some old floppies that i'm trying to copy the data off of over to a hard disk or usb stick. this is a great option for that. connects via usb c, great for my modern laptop. connects just fine and reads the disks with no problems.
