this lee mold is well made an drops bullets at 102 grains easily straight out of the box. the mold is a .365 caliber

Like most Lee products, this mold is built a little different than most other products in the industry. It's aluminum construction is cheaper, but also has the ability to heat up quickly. Most molds, like Lyman, are pretty expensive. Lee puts casting within the reach of folks like me, who are on a shoestring budget.I smoked the cavities with a candle after thoroughly cleaning all the production lube off of mold. My first bullets were wrinkled as expected. After producing several pair of wrinkled bullets, they began to come out formed as they should be. The mold holds heat decently and once up to temp it continued to produce well formed bullets. The sprue cutter works well, but its screw did back out after continued use. I tightened it and it was fine after that. I assume the steel screw and aluminum block are the reason for that, as the two metals expand differently. They have a washer under the screw that should help keep it from backing out. It's not a big deal, just keep an eye on it.My bullets measure .365 in diameter, so I have been loading them without sizing. My current alloy is producing bullets weighing 104 grains. Adjust loads accordingly. My first loads leaded the barrel, but this was due to a bad lube recepie, not the bullet. Since switching to Barry Darr's lube recipe I have seen no leading.

Drops .364-.365 and 99-100gr with WW lead, tumble lubed and loaded into flared case without issue. Haven't gotten a chance to shoot yet cannot comment on that yet.

These worked great and zero issues when loaded in new and once fired brass. Good price and showed up quickly. Would buy again without any hesitation.

A cost effective way to make boolits....works excellent with little tweaking, makes nice, consistent boolits too.I shoot these in my Malaria and they work great...no feeding issues, and they are very accurate , at least in my pistol.Definitely a good buy!
