The inclusion of a lever, as in a gas pump handle, hides the fact that this item does not pump anything. All it does is control the flow of a liquid at a higher level to a lower level. In this, it may be perfect for many use cases.My use case is in trying to get gasoline from the ridiculous Federally mandated gasoline storage containers that take two arms and a hand to open, pour and cant at the same time.A very useful change to this item would be making dispensing gasoline easier. Alter the device or include a connector that would allow the "fuel gun nozzle" to connect to the mandated gas cans that cost $25. It would still require the gas container to be elevated so as to use gravity rather than suction, but would be much, much easier. But, this is not that device.With the current design it is necessary to arrange the gas can higher and potentially tip. Then attach a correctly sized hose to the "fuel gun nozzle", probably with an 'O' clamp to fill a device.

Don't expect more than the ability to start and stop gravity fed fuel, it will work for that. It's a cheap price to add an easy shut off for my 14-gal fuel tank that I put in up in my truck bed, then refuel our RZR with it.

POS plastic pump handle broke first time using it .. it won't shut off so made a big stinky mess in my shop.. DONT BUY

I cant speak for longevity, but the little I've used it so far, it works as intended. Using on a hand crank pump set up. I do not pressure up.
