This basketball hoop is great as it meets the needs of ages 5-8. It just the right size and the height can be adjusted. Very happy with how well it's made especially for the price.

Purchased this for our grandsons that are age 7 and 5. It's sturdy, nice quality and adjustable so that it can be made taller as they grow. I would describe it as a junior size from a larger one for older children/adults - which is what we wanted. They will use it for years. Some of it was NOT easy to assemble - directions were difficult to understand - missing a few details.

Bought this for my (tall) 5 year old. He LOVES it! My husband (39) gets a lot of enjoyment out of it too ;)It is a great size for beginner basketball and has two height settings to get started. My son is 5 and it is on the lower setting so we have room to grow. For the price I would def recommend beginning with this hoop. Kids can score baskets and practice skills without getting overly frustrated. A regular size hoop would prove frustrating for his age. Sturdy good frame, light enough to move just does not move super easily even though it does have wheels. Would recommend for a beginner hoop. Easy enough to assemble. Gave it 4 stars since it is a little tough to shift around but you should not need to. Good investment.

We purchased this Basketball hoop for our 8-yo grandson's birthday, & I'm told that our son-in-law had it put together pretty easily, & he doesn't have an engineering degree. :) Michael has been shooting baskets every day, & it seems to be holding up very well. They did need to buy sand for filling the base to weigh it down. All-in-all, I'd say it has been a good investment & would recommend.

Our 5yr old son absolutely loves basketball. We started him off with the little tykes toddler hoop then went up to the little tykes play like a pro hoop. After only having the play like a pro for a month, the cheap plastic rim broke. Very disappointing. After researching best indoor/outdoor hoops for kids, we decided to go with the Lifetime youth hoop. It just arrived today and we were able to assemble it in 45min. Very simple assembly, as long as you have the right tools. This hoop is well made, sturdy, and perfect for indoors or outdoors. Just be sure to fill the base with sand. Our son has been shooting hoops for hours. You can use a JR or full size ball. I’m sure this hoop will eventually make it outside when the weather heats up. Don’t waste your time or money on those cheap plastic hoops that won’t last, get this one! When our kids outgrow this hoop, we will definitely be purchasing a full size hoop made by Lifetime. This brand is made to last. Highly recommended.
