don't work with makita charger. nuf said. it wont slide on the charger, but its got a plug in port you can by a DC transformer for. Pass if you can read this.

I kind of like the smaller 2 and 3Ah batteries in any brand of power tool. For much of what I do in most projects (mainly quick drilling or impact driving), a small battery is more than adequate and it saves weight and bulk.This kind of turned everything I thought I knew about Makita-compatible(ish) batteries on its head. My prior experience is that a lot of off-brand tools use a battery that is physically compatible with Makita. These tools will run on Makita (and truly compatible) batteries, but they come with batteries that will not power Makita tools. I always assumed it was because of the second terminal strip that legit Makita batteries have. I got this battery not expecting it to work with my legit Makita tools, but it does. It works great, actually. Apparently the small terminal strip Makita uses is only for monitoring the charging process? That doesn't explain why I have all these "knock-off" batteries that don't run my Makita tools. I have a lot of these batteries...But without that terminal strip, this battery will NOT fit a Makita charger, meaning you can only charge this battery with a charger from one of the "knock-off" tools. Most of these just use a transformer with a barrel plug connector (which this battery has). Some of them actually come with a cradle type charger that the battery slides into. I would assume this battery would work with those, but I haven't tried it yet.So while I may have multiple ways to charge this battery, most people looking to purchase a battery for their Makita tools will not. Basically, the seller's info is incorrect and this is not a truly compatible battery. It may run the tools, but it will not even physically fit in the Makita chargers.

This is a great battery for use in tools that use Makita style batteries. Also, if you have a clone tool, it will have a trickle charger that will work on these clone batteries. These will not work in a Makita charger. They need the yellow block that has all the micro circuit sensors in it and stuff Just be aware and know what you’re getting. It will in fact work in the tools just not the factory charger.

I'm not clear what I'm missing, but this product does not fit Makita chargers.You can see from the product photo that it is missing the yellow connector with 7 contacts that is required for charging. Instead it has a a single post connector which I suspect can be used for direct charging - but none is supplied with the battery.Mine came fully charged and it fits and works well on my Makita tools. But if it can't be charged on Makita chargers, it's useless to me.
