I did not know this was a refurbished one when I bought it but so far it is working like a new one seems to be connecting to everything, I connect to it, it was very easy to set up it will pay for itself in just a few months with my Rip off internet company they wanted 10 bucks a month for one

Linksys says not eligible for support, although says certified manufacturer refurbished!Support told me they would give me one time support because I just bought it, but after this I was on my own. Managed to set up on my own with some help from internet provider. This MR8300 router was easy to manually set up with static IP address, once I got the information from my internet provider. Not sure this is any better than Linksys AC2200 I already have, but Linksys was unable to set up AC2200 with static IP address, which I required, for my installation. Now the MR8300 is the master router and the AC2200 are all active nodes.

Compré este Router como respaldo del que tenía funcionando, cuando empezó a dar más problemas desempaqué mi “flamante casi nuevo” router y mi sorpresa es que no funcionó, desafortunadamente ya se había cerrado la ventana de devolución

The router that my alleged cable company rented me... stinks. Constant drops, connection issues, etc. My Steam Deck never connected properly to the 5g. So I got this.Setup was a bit complicated. I admit I don't know routers and networking that well, but I have some experience. The smartphone app seemed limited at first but it's just because I wasn't familiar with it. I was eventually able to connect the old fashioned way, through a browser, but only from my pc. Once I was in, I was able to split the bands properly and tweak the experience. That was day 1. I haven't had a single connection issue since that day. Even my beloved Deck stays reliably connected to 5g and I'm finally able to stream from my pc properly, without any lag, over wifi.Price was good and it performs beautifully for my needs. My only complaint is that there's no way to alter the radio frequency of the 5g bands, to fully eliminate interference from my many neighbors. But my router puts out a strong enough signal that this hasn't been an issue. I very much recommend this router.

Found this searching for an update to my old Apple Airport routers. Ordered it, got it in one day, took a long time to understand and set up and to get to where I wanted it to be.There's no real instruction booklet, at least with the refurb, and I don't know how but they keep making these things with such clunky interfaces it's really annoying.I'm not sure the bluetooth setup from the phone app and having to create a Linksys account, which by the way can monitor your network and who knows what else? Why does Linksys pretend to care so much about security with so many passwords, and such a restrictive rules for what you can use. That should be up to the use to decide if they want to have a simple or complex password. And, there are a lot of options and systems that are complicated and have no help screens or explanations. So, while it works and was inexpensive, I don't really know what it is I have here in terms or security or safety. I will say that it can transmit through my plaster and lath walls very well where my old routers did not.So, the good and the bad, for me, are kind of a wash, and I would rate this 3/5, and in my mind a bit lower for the sheer inconsiderateness of this product for the end user. It was a cheap improvement in my life so I appreciate that, but I am sure I missed some things in the complicated setup.
