It was very useful. Used it on my sienna 2004 to remove those stuburn seal. Need some practice before thaugh. Poke the sharp part in the seal soft part and pull with rachet. Must be used like a screw driver open paint can. What I mean is u got to go around couple of point on the seal

Honestly, this beats prying them out with whatever tool/screwdriver that's usually in reach! Worth the small investment for convenience.

Nice to see that Lisle still has some quality made tools made in the USA ,, not easy to get but need a bit of work to ensure that they are made in the USA

I had never in my life before removed an inner seal on a drum break. I read the Amazon evalutions (other's star ratings) and liked the idea that the Lisle Seal Puller did not break under rugged use. I watched some YouTube videos and saw other ways to do it. There were several do-it-yourself and make-it-up methods to remove the inner seal. I purchased the Lisle because it was designed for the job, a job I had never done before ... and it was relatively inexpensive ... and I have a used 2-axle trailer (four wheels) that I could experiment with just because it was used. The Lisle Seal Puller worked perfectly. I needed to put the drum in a vise to steady it during the pulling process. It took a little work but all four seals came out. The old seals were totally distroyed as you would expect from the pointed tips of the tool. The real trick is knowing what size to get for the new seals. The information you need to select the new seals is on the side the bearing wall which is not visible until you remove the old seal. I found a very helpful westco.net narrative in selecting the new seal; it says "Most boat trailer axles are rated for either 2,500 or 3,500 pounds capacity per axle. Most of the smaller axles, which are only found on single axle trailers, will use bearings that are 1 1/16 for their outer diameter. The part number for these bearings is 44649. Most dual axle trailers use bearings that are of different sizes. With the dual axles the inner bearing is 1 3/8 and the outer bearing is 1 1/16 in diameter. The part numbers for these bearings are 68149 and 44649 respectively. This second size is far and away the most common bearing set used in boat trailers. The hubs they mount in are often referred to as either the Small Ford bolt pattern or are called 545 hubs. The 545 designation refers to the fact that they have 5 lugs which are spaced on 4.5 inch centers (from the axle center). These very common 545 hubs use seals that have an O.D. of 2.56 inches and in I.D. of 1.72 inches. A commonly available part number for these seals will be Federal Mogul 473336." I went with this advice and it turned out to be the right advise.
