I purchased this ladder in 2015 and have used it to paint my house and other jobs like putting up Christmas lights. My only complaint is about the wheels. They just crack and fall apart. I’m checking to see if they sell wheels but the ladder works fine without them.

Like many have said, this ladder is pretty heavy, but that is not the worst thing. It does feel solid. It is very flexible, but it is not always the easiest thing to "flex", partially due to weight and partially due to clearances (more on that later). If you want to extend this into a larger step ladder, raising 1 side and then the other can be challenging as the ladder grows on one side causing it to shiift its weight and shape. You have to pay close attention where the weight is focused and which piece will move as you can pinch your fingers or slam the sliding ladder when you release the locks to raise a side.If you want to use it like an extension ladder, this is the hardest part, at least for me. If you want to use the full length, you basically have to lay it down and extend the top section. Then you have to stand it up and then can extend the bottom section, being careful as before to watch your fingers and be prepared for the weight of the whole side of the ladder on your fingers as you attempt to raise the bottom section. The other option is to extend the whole ladder before standing it up, which it harder for my use. This is where a standard extension ladder really beats this ladder. The pros really are the flexible options. If I had to do it over again, I probably would have passed on the adjustible legs as they add weight and I can do the same with other means. The cons are primarily weight and the sometimes challenging reconfiguration. I watched the videos on their site and they really make it look easy. They should have a video or 2 showing what to look for when reconfiguring and how not to pinch yourself.

This ladder is a life saver ladder for me. I recently had a metal building built on my property and the garage door itself is 14 foot tall with the joists being at 16 foot high. That doesn't sound to high, but believe me, it is high doing work off of a ladder. I bought this ladder mainly for this type of work. It makes a great step ladder and goes pretty tall, but in extension ladder mode, it is very nice. I set it to about 18 - 20 foot (not full length) and is fairly stable climbing the ladder. Yes, it does have some movement to it while climbing, but much less than a regular extension ladder. Only thing is that it is more difficult to handle than an extension ladder. You can't have it standing up and extend this ladder or you would easily get hurt trying. I have to lay it down, extend it and then lift up to place ladder which is somewhat difficult since it is heavy and not balanced while walking ladder up unless you place the bottom against something (instructions recommend this) and walk it up to position. If you are too tall or not tall enough, you have to lay it back down and adjust again. Yes, that is a little bit of a pain, but worth that pain with the use of this ladder and feeling safe while working at large heights with it. It is heavy, but not overly heavy that is isn't worth using. I really like the step ladder mode with one side at the angle and the other straight up and down against a wall or something. That is an awesome feature. This ladder is very expensive for a ladder but that expense is worth it by being safer and the strength to make you secure while working on it. I gave it a four because of how to handle the ladder to use it, but that is the nature of the beast, so I gave it a strong four.

Extremely stable and sturdy. VERY heavy though - so keep that in mind. But a great, versatile ladder.Editing to add: after a couple years of use, it’s still a great, sturdy ladder,BUT...The size and weight mean this is my last choice of ladders to use. In hindsight, I wish that I had purchased a 12’ step ladder to go with my 6’ and just store it on a ceiling rack in my garage. I find that I avoid using this ladder because it is so heavy and unwieldy to move around between floors inside the house. So I find myself stretching on my smaller step ladder and browsing for lighter 10’ or 12’ step ladders rather than lugging this around. The weight itself is deceptive - it’s the weight combined with the size that makes it awkward to move about.

This ladder is just awesome. If you are going to use it mostly for a 1 size A frame ladder, it is quite a bit heavier than an aluminum ladder of the same size, so I am not sure I would pay the extra money in that case. However, if you are looking for a ladder that can be adjusted to do just about anything you want, then this is the ladder for you.Pros:* I LOVE the leveling feet, when using this as an extension ladder, they are very easy to adjust and work great* It really is simple to adjust it to all the things that you want it to do. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to remember all the adjustments, but in reality it is simple and very intuitive on how to adjust it* The ladder seems very stable, even with the extension all the way out, there is some give in the ladder, so don't expect this to be rock solid with no bend as you go up, but then again I am 230 lbs so there aren't many extension ladders that wouldn't have some give :)* The flexibility to use it in so many waysCons:* It is a heavier ladder, that being said it comes with wheels to move it around, but in practice it makes it difficult to move around as it is so far behind you that I usually just pick it up and carry it.* For the second A-Frame you have 2 tops that you put in the extensions to make another A-Frame and it comes with a bungy cord to attach it to the ladder for storage. It works fine, I just wish they are come up with a way to integrate it into the frame, I just leave it in a drawer until I need it and I am sure I will end up losing it and then not find it when I do need it :)In summary, if your looking for a good all around ladder that does a little bit of everything and you don't mind they weight go for it. It takes up less space than multiple ladders and won't really cost more when you look at buying multiple ladders. If you only use one type or size of ladder, spend less money and get a lighter ladder.
