A very solid torque wrench. This wrench is very sturdy and very well made. Very heavy as well. The digital readout is very easy to operate, you don’t need a masters degree to figure it out. The size is perfect allowing plenty of torque to be applied. Also comes with an adapter so you can not only use it on 3/8” but 1/2” as well, comes with a 3/8” extension also. Classic design, should last for years to come.

Came just in time for a head gasket replacement, using this was the only part of the job that wasn't miserable.Has a bunch of options for how you want to measure the force, from Newton-metre to ft lbs.The handle fit well in my hand and was comfortable to use. Ratcheting was smooth and feels well built. Also comes with a nice carrying case with a plastic window so you can easily see what tool is inside, something I didn;t realize I want all my other cases to have until now.Checked the torque against two others and all were indicating at the same time.Very happy with it

This seems to be a very high quality tool.I cannot verify its accuracy. But it does come with an, "Inspection Certificate" which lists the Calibration Instrument used, a Serial Number, actual measured values to within 0.30%, and the names of the standards met which are listed as: 1SO6789, GB/T15729, ASME 8107.14M, along with the Checker's Name, and the Date.I do find one issue with it. In that despite over 40 years of "hands on" mechanical experience, including some significant engineering education. I don't find the settings and readout to be particularly intuitive. That's a potential problem.I think the manufacturer / seller should post a link to an online version of the provided manual, in case it should ever become lost by the purchaser.I included pictures of both sides of the instructions, as best I could. And also a lit-up look at the readout with control buttons.I has 2 different operating "modes". Though I don't fully see the need for 2. I assume it's just for user convenience and thereby offers a choice. But it seems like a little bit of extra confusion in a wrench, which to me, should "simply beep", whenever I hit the, "torque I set".It also has another convenient feature, which I do find useful in that, it'll store your own "frequently used" torque settings in up to 9 saved values, which you can program in and save.Actually "setting" in either your own saved values or any specific torque is measured for some reason (apparently it can be very precise) in up to 100ths of a single foot pound! It will also list (and apparently convert between, on the fly) in any of 5 different units including: N.m , lb.ft , lb.in , kg.cm , and kg.m , along with a very nice "Battery Power" readout icon.It requires two "AA" batteries (also included). You can also delete (or just modify one of) your Saved torque values individually, or all at once. The overall build quality seems to be outstanding. However, the manual also clearly warns, you must never place any force on the wrench which exceeds its rated limits, and that ever doing so, will damage the wrench.I really like the unit. However, I just wish it were more intuitive as to settings and labeled button meanings.I don't relish having to re-check the instructions each time I pull it out for an oil change, etc. Perhaps with use, these things will become more intuitive for any end-users.However, I would caution against ever "losing the instructions" and would recommend storing the wrench along with the instructions, inside of its quite nice and included, case. For some reason, it also comes with about a 5 or 6 inch, regular 3/8ths extension rod, and also for convenience, a very nice 3/8ths to 1/2 inch simple adapter.Overall, I like the unit. It's nice! But, it will be somewhat of a, "paradigm shift" for myself in use, after relying on regular / manual / mechanically set, torque wrenches for so many years! One other thing I really appreciate is, it shuts itself off too. In case I forget. (And I often will!)

Very nice upgrade from my old clicker torque wrenches. I used to keep two separate torque wrenches in order to cover the range of this one tool. Love the fact that I'm able to change units with the press of a button, which saves me from having to get the calculator out to convert torque specs when I'm working on various projects whose specs are in lb⋅ft, lb⋅in, N·m, etc. Being able to read accurately down to fractions of a lb·in is great. The full color display is a nice touch - even if it's not necessary, it's very easy to read - especially compared to the tiny embossed markings on my old clicker.Out of curiousity, I used this wrench to torque a fastener down to 10 lb⋅ft, and then tried dialing my old torque wrench until it clicked - it read a bit shy of 15 lb⋅ft. It was an extremely unscientific test, but interesting to see how far off the measurements were. I don't have a luggage scale to test the accuracy of this unit, but I'm assuming that this brand new digital torque wrench is more accurate than my old clicker wrench (that's been dropped a number of times over the years).I found that the battery cover was a little "gritty" feeling, so I added a touch of anti-seize to the threads, which made putting in/taking out batteries a more pleasant experience. (I take the batteries out after each use to keep them from draining.)My only complaints: 1) The beeps are extremely loud, and you make a lot of beeps when you change torque settings. 2) Setting the preset torque values is pretty tedious - holding down the button allows you to scroll quickly through values, but the numbers rapidly start scrolling so fast that it's easy to overshoot the number you're aiming for - on the other hand, pressing the button repeatedly gets tedious quickly (see note above about the annoying loud beeps). 3) I found that changing units results in slight changes to the preset torque values. For example, I stored 15 lb⋅ft in one of the presets, switched to lb⋅in, and when I switched back to lb⋅ft, the preset had changed to 14.98 lb⋅ft. Practically, this probably makes no difference, but it's a little annoying.Overall, this is a nice upgrade for my shop and has become my go-to torque wrench!

It looks like something Mr. Spock might have carried in his toolkit aboard the Starship Enterprise. As much like a piece of modern art (which it is, arguably) as a traditional torque wrench, this device nonetheless functions with flying colors when it's time to wrench a fastener to a precise degree of torque. A simple operating algorithm makes using it a pleasure. From a menu of five different torque units, select your favorite, then dial in your desired unit of torque measurement and torque away. As you approach your set value, get ready for colored lights, buzzers, and even a vibrating handle. Little risk of over-torquing with this device. With three sensory channels lighting up simultaneously (vision, auditory and tactile), you'll get the message. Can be used in the traditional torque wrench manner of allowing you to set a desired value and then signaling when that value is achieved, OR it can be used to mark and record peak torque value obtained, if that is what you need. And it retains and displays your best (torque) effort. And when this thing flashes a light to let you know you're approaching your specified torque, don't worry about not seeing it. An entire row of (surprisingly bright) lights stream across the display.Uses AA batteries (2). Readable display screen. Reversible (torque direction) with the flip of a lever. Memory function. Buzzer that is actually audible (in a busy shop).I like it.
