I keep my hats about an inch apart but still had to stomp as hard as I could to get the slightest jingle out of these. To be honest, I've tried a few of these smaller tambourine add-ons and with no luck. My full size tambourine just works much better clamped onto the hi-hat. Any suggestions for a smaller unit?

Great sound ... but when mounted on primary hi hat , the diameter interferes with comfort of where my stick hits the cymbal.I cut it in half, and works and sounds fine
