Los LP Mini Timbales están hechos después de los famosos Timbales Tito Puente de tamaño completo de LP, las carcasas miden solo 3 1/4 pulgadas de profundidad con una auténtica afinación de estilo cubano.

I felt the sound was horrible and it sounded nothing like a timbale so I returned it. The reseller has yet to process my return and it's been over a month. Don't order from this company because it looks like I going get ripped off for $325.00

These are awesome little drums, LP quality and the sound is incredible with or without the snare feature enabled.

I purchased these to enhance the percussive flavors of the original and cover band I play drums in. I "debuted" them the night before I wrote this and they were everything I was looking for in a sound palette. LP, as most people are aware, make very high quality products, the construction is solid, the drums look beautiful (mirror finish) and they sound amazing. The first thing I did when opening the box and mounting them to a cymbal stand was to de tune the heads, they were cranked so high they choked the resonance out of the drum. The clamp system is high quality, I had to do some experimenting with mounting them, but the mounting system is very flexible. I chose to mount mine over my rack toms. The only thing I don't like are the snare systems included on the drums. I found them not only to not enhance the beautiful natural sound of the timbale, but the mechanism, a spring with T-Rod that you have to pull out and lock in, is a bit clunky to deal with. They are a bit difficult to engage in the snares "up"position. I simply loosened the nut holding the snares on to the T-Rod and removed the entire assembly. Again, with the snare engaged it just sounded like a choked out, plastic toy drum, and that is not what I was looking for.I appreciate that someone went to the trouble to make this instrument even more versatile, but it's not my cup of tea. Too hard to engage and the wires, even when in the Tucked" position (Not engaged against the head) take the ring out of the drum..Otherwise, a fine high quality product that I look forward to using.

These things are very nice. They have a cool mix between bongo and timbale sound when played at a low to medium volume with a stick. When you really beat them they wind up sounding a little like small rototoms. I wish the smaller drum had a little more ring to it like the larger. I tried to play with the tuning but found I was happiest where it came and really couldn't get the right sound and a little more sustain. It is a small drum and physics wins. I guess this set would sound a little better if it was a little larger. But, the size is right to cram into your setup. I was prepared to buy a Gibraltar mount for it, but the LP mount that came with it is suprisingly functional. I initially scoffed at the snare functionality since I already have a piccolo as part of my setup. I assumed I would just remove them. But, it is a pretty cool sound and I've used it more than I ever expected. Especially on the larger drum. It can lend an almost electronic snare sound if you hit it at the same time as another snare. It sounds a little like a compressed snare by itself, great for low volume passages where you want the drums to sound compressed.Gives me a bunch of nice sounds until I can afford to incorporate something like an octapad in it's place.I will say that it doesn't take the place of bongos. I had them with me in the car when we were playing improptu around the campfire and they didn't replace a pair of bongos well. Same issue with the small drum not singing out and ringing, only worse when hit with a hand instead of a stick.
