Poor quality. I have twins so I bought two of these. You actually have to be riding really fast to even see the pattern. The units had to be zip tied to stay in place. The light on one of them won't stay on. The kids were so excited to try them but needless to say I had one child melting down in tears every two minutes when her light shut off just as she got going fast enough. Luckily her brother was nice enough to trade bikes on the ride back home. Super disappointed.

These are very long (5-7 inches). While they look very cool, they are not for a kid's bike that has smaller wheels. They would be ideal for an adult bike. Even so, you may need to use zip-ties to secure them. We had an issue getting them to work for the smaller bikes, but if your rims are 20" or larger, they will probably fit.

I bought these for my son's 12th birthday. Both very cool and extremely practical. He loved them! Here's my thoughts...Was it easy to install? Yes.Are they bright? Sure. HOWEVER...You have to get up to an impossible speed in order to make any of the designs that they advertise in the pictures. THAT is extremely disappointing as it was a HUGE selling point for me. BUT, we decided that they were still neat and still served they're purpose. So, we let it go.Great value? There is the BIGGEST rub!I bought the two pack, two tires and all, seemed like a no brainer. However, apparently, the screws don't tighten efficiently enough to hold on while going over a big bump!My son these had on for TWO DAYS, went riding with a friend (during the day) and the back one fell off. When asked about it, he didn't even know that it had. He said there was a big bump where they had ridden, that's the only place it could have shaken loose. He went out and looked, sure enough, busted! He asked for another one. So, a two pack turned into three. $18 for two PLUS $11 for an extra (replacement) one PLUS $10 for wire (these ones are NOT coming loose!!) Equals???NOT A GREAT VALUE!!!!!

Much better than a previous set from a different brand. Battery installation is easy by removing a screw cap and inserting the AAA cells. To install, make sure you completely remove plastic screws first. I glued the threads to deter theft when bike is parked vin the street. Unit has on/off button - long press to switch on and off (timer will switch off lights when wheels are stationary for approx 20secs, then trembler switch will turn them back on when the wheels move again). Lights are bright and efficient, providing high level of visibility bon the all-important side view of the bike. Recommended.

This spoke light is a very nice idea, but it just doesn't work quite the way it is described or pictured under most circumstances. The Good:The light is easy to install (I bought 4 of them, one for each bike in the family, all different bikes), and functions properly. The light pattern does change every 4 seconds or so as indicated in the instructions. The batteries (3x AAA) are easy to install. The Bad:This is a single line of LED lights being spun around, changing the lights as it spins in order to create a pattern. Unless you're going REALLY fast (I can't quantify how fast, as I have yet to achieve the required speed), you won't see a full-wheel pattern as shown in the pictures for this product. The wheels will need to spin fast enough to make a full revolution while the lights are visible all the way around in order for this to work as shown. That's pretty darned fast.UPDATE: I just noticed that the description says that at 20 mph the full pattern will be visible. However, at 20 mph, my wife could only see a small portion of the pattern. The entire wheel was NOT lit up at 20 mph.My conclusion:Fun idea, just over promised. I'll keep them, as they're a novelty, and a fairly cheap one, but I would not buy them again. This product might work better if it was a 4- or more spoke solution, with all spokes coordinated. I don't even think you could take 4 of these and install them on the same wheel because you wouldn't get the coordination needed to create the same pattern at the same time.
