Compact and bright. Purchased as a backup but would work nicely as primary. Very bright. Easy to use wrist strap. It will be a few months before I get a chance to use it though. It will fit nicely in a BCD pocket or because of the shape, a hook and loop strap would secure it nicely on a BCD strap.

Not even close to 2000 lumens. I have a 1000 lumen light that is brighter than this. I do however like the slider thumb switch but have doubts how long it will work as it should being such an odd switch and having to slide it up and down. Has a decent hot spot and decent flood. Got this light just as a take the dogs out at night light and a whatever light. Not intending on going under water with it LOL. But will try using it in the rain instead of my other lights. Bit of a hassle having to take the battery out to charge but being a scuba light, I understand why it does not have a charge port on it and I should have paid closer attention to the detail, my bass on that. Gotta go with 3 stars just because of the exaggerated brightness advertised. It's barely 1000 lumens if even that at the most.

This 2000-lumen dive light is a very nice value at this price point of $40 at time of review.Overall DescriptionThis little unit is a solid piece of equipment. It's got a sleek aluminum alloy body that feels solid and decent size though I have bigger hands didn't have trouble using it with gloves. The 2000-lumen output is good. The rechargeable battery is a nice touch, saving you from constantly buying new ones though that also means it will begin to lose capacity over time so that may not be ideal for some But at least it could be potentially replaceable If they're still around or someone is still making the battery. The push switch is simple enough to use, even when you're wearing thick gloves. They also packed in extra o rings too, nice touch. Why it's Worth Considering:This thing lights up the underwater pretty nicely.Solidly Built: The aluminum body feels durable. I've accidentally knocked and dropped it against a few rocks, and it's still going strong.Waterproof: Only been down to 50 ft with it but no issues what so ever.Battery for days: Even in frigid water that usually drains batteries faster than a thirsty camel, this light keeps on shining.Glove-friendly: The switch is easy to find and use, even when your hands feel like they're wrapped in oven mitts.Travel buddy: It's compact and light, perfect for throwing in your dive bag without adding much weight. The Deterrents:Slider: The slider is a bit too easy to turn on accidentally. I've found it lighting up the interior of my bag on occasion.Battery: The battery capacity is slightly less than advertised. I got about 5.5-6 hours on a full charge. Not a deal-breaker, but worth noting. Also the battery will lose capacity over time so that 5 1/2 to six hours will drop after a year and further every year afterBeam: not a lot of control in that cannot go real narrow to highlight specific items and cannot go real wide to highlight a big area that's close up.Comparison to Other $40 Dive Lights:Compared to other lights in this price range, this one stands out for its brightness and build quality. Many cheaper lights I've used have plastic bodies that feel flimsy underwater. This one feels much more premium. The battery life is also superior to most in this price bracket. However, some competitors offer a lockout feature or floating design, which this light lacks.Overall, for the price, this dive light is punching above its price point. The brightness alone makes it worth the investment, and the solid construction means it'll likely outlast cheaper alternatives. Yes, it has a few quirks, like the finicky slider and its tendency to sink, but these are minor compared to its strengths. If you're a recreational diver or someone who needs a reliable underwater light without breaking the bank, this is a solid choice. The battery will lose capacity overtime so it will likely need to be replaced But really at $40 You're gonna more than get your money is worth out of this!

I haven't heard of this brand so I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised once I got it. It's a very solidly built light with a very interesting switch. It has some mass to it, feels very sturdy. The aluminum body is anodized with a black finish. The tailcap is removable but the head is not. Removing the tailcap exposes a nice beefy spring on the negative terminal. It is sealed with two o-rings to ensure it's waterproof. One thing I did notice is the threads were greased but still felt a bit rough. They did smooth out a bit once I twisted it a few times, but it's not quite as nice as the threads on some other brands. It can be a bit challenging to get the tailcap back on because the spring is so strong and it wants to cross thread. It seems to be getting better over time though.I am a bit torn on the UI. The slider switch is a unique feature and works well, it's smooth and precise. You get a decent range of brightness as you advance the slider up. My biggest concern is that there's no way to lock this slider out, and it's extremely easy to accidentally activate the switch. I don't suggest pocket carrying or using this in a holster unless you physically lock it out by twisting the tailcap. Otherwise you will eventually end up turning it as you put it in your pocket. There really should be a way to lock out the slider. The emitter is a cool white beam, though I'm not sure what model LED they use. I am also not sure what kind of driver they used, but it seems to be a buck driver since this light runs nice and cool even on full power. I tried leaving it on max for five minutes and it was barely warm to the touch. If it was using a FET driver it would have been scorching hot. They include a self branded 21700 battery with the light. It is rated at 5000mah but came up a little short when I measured it's true capacity. It tested at 4540mah. Not a huge deal, but over rated none the less. They also include a couple of spare O rings, a lanyard, single bay charger, and instructions.I'm not a diver, but figure that I would test the waterproof rating anyway. I soaked it in a bowl of water while running for 10 minutes, and there was no water intrusion so it's at least waterproof to 6 inches. I cannot confirm how it performs at depth. This makes a great fishing flashlight because if you drop it in some water you won't have to worry about damaging it. That being said, it does not float so if you drop it in a lake, it's going straight to the bottom unless you have a floating lanyard attached.Overall it's a nice enough flashlight, I just wish they thought the sliding switch through a little better and provided a way to physically lock it out when not in use.
