This tester (AWBLIN 3-72V DC Automotive Test Light) is ok for certain purposes. Its accuracy isn't great but may be close enough for a quick test. At 12.41VDC (Fluke DMM) the tester measured it bouncing between 12.2 and 12.1VDC which is the vicinity of a 2 percent error. Also, be aware that there will be a small spark when probing due to the load from the tester lights (this would be true of any tester with lights powered off the probe tip rather than an internal battery). This may be a concern if you are probing in close vicinity to a vented wet lead acid battery (Hydrogen gas is explosive). Of course the lights won't help you see in a dark area since they won't come on until after you have probed a voltage high enough for them to turn on. They do however provide a visual indication of voltage in addition to the red/green indicators and the beep. There is no "Hold" feature on this tester so if you have the probe in a place you can't read it then that could be an issue. The cord on this tester will stretch quite a ways. Some of that would depend on what you have the ground clamp attached to. The clamp has decent tension and you may find that you can stretch the cord 8 to 10 feet without having the ground clamp letting go. Possibly further. That is one thing I like about this tester. I'm not sorry I bought this tester and will use it in some applications. I probably wouldn't buy a tester with lights again unless it had a built in battery to run them so that you could have them on to see with before you probed due to the limited usefulness otherwise and the sparking issue being greater. I'd probably want a "Hold" function as well. I also find the red/green lights for polarity to not be useful (more load too for sparking). I prefer the voltage display to have its own +/- indication. This one does but it has the extra lights I don't care about. AWBLIN does have several models with different features and there are other brands out there too. Consider what you'll be using this for and choose the features best suited to you own uses. I will keep this one and I may buy a second tester with a different feature set for other applications.

This test probe is fantastic. Rugged as all get out. Been submerged several times and keeps on ticking. Nice loud beeps for us old folk to hear and always love seeing the volts while testing.

After getting the price on the truck, I did a little shopping. And yes, this is the one I chose. Use it multiple times a day, the voltage read out is handy. Can diagnose circuits that are hot but low. Like a mini multimeter. I utilize it on semi's, fleet trucks, trailers etc. The ground clip is large, making it easy to attach.

This thing is awesome. I bought it to work on a 48 volt golf cart but now it has become my go to tool anytime I need a test light or volt meter. I was surprised at how well built it is. Only thing I would note is the ground clamp is large due to the large voltage capacity I presume. Get you one.
