This is a great, versatile, budget-friendly video light with some thoughtful features—but also some limitations to be aware of. If you need basic, space-saving lighting for video calls, remote work, or casual content creation, this is a solid choice. What to Know:● The actual lit area is ~6” x 4.5”. This is fine for basic video calls, but it isn't big enough to fully wrap light smoothly around the face, and sometimes creates less flattering contrast and shadows. As a general rule:ℹ️ Smaller lights create harder shadows, especially if further away – Larger, diffused light sources are best for soft, even illumination.● It's still much better than typical overhead lighting! If you're used to relying on whatever's in your room, this will be a big improvement. To get the most out of this light:💡 If possible, keep some ambient light on – this helps reduce harsh contrast.💡 Position it slightly off-center (~45° angle) for more natural, flattering light.💡 Distance: 12-24 inches from your face is usually best for this light.💡 DIY Diffuser Trick – If shadows still look too sharp, tape a thin white sheet of paper, wax paper, or frosted plastic over it for a softer glow.Thoughtful Features:✔ Adjustable brightness & color temp – TBH, I count about 5 light levels, not 10, but they still cover a decent range.✔ Uses standard size screw threads, so it's compatible with tripods & camera mounts. Lots of creative setup options.✔ It uses USB-A and it actually includes a wall adapter! Pretty rare these days 😂! You can also use this for travel by plugging it into a laptop or even a portable battery pack.✔ Phone-friendly base – Has ridges that prop up a phone or other device—not the best angle for calls, but still handy.✔ Doubles as a reading light. This is surprisingly awesome for night reading—multiple brightness and temperature settings, and no glare, just a nice diffused glow on your pages.TLDR: For the price, this won’t replace professional studio lighting, but it’s a big step in the right direction. Great for everyday use, portable and surprisingly versatile!

I got this for macrophotography, so my review focuses on that use. The short pole is a little limiting for macrophotography, but gooseneck and flexible-arm lamps are a pain to adjust, so maybe the limits aren't so bad. The range of brightness is good, but I would have preferred more than 3 temperatures. The base is heavy enough. It's fit for purpose - nothing special. The biggest problem is that the labels for power/brightness/temp are very hard to read. Nothing that a white paint marker can't fix, but I'm not sure who thought that indecipherable buttons was a good idea for a lighting fixture (!!). All in all, not a bad light for my use; a reasonable value.

I had recently started to do some video blogs as well as video reviews of products for my channel when i realized that the lighting wasn't very good and I needed something to help illuminate myself on camera as well as the subject matter, if, any, that I was displaying. When I came across this light i was eager to try it as it had a lot of appealing features and some additional that had me even more curious! This is a great product for the purposes I described above. To start off its easy to assemble and install. The zoom light can be used without the stand, but way more options come with it attached to the stand than by itself. Once everything is together it's a simple USB plug into my laptop or port unit. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the components. The adjustability is its best attribute as the light can flip 360 degrees around and can also be move left to right for a perfect angle. Its size makes it compact and convenient. Fitting on the desktop where it does not take up a lot of space is really convenient. The height is also adjustable and that helps for different scenarios where I may want the light to brighten my face or a product I have on display on the desk or workstation itself.Although it boasts many dimmable levels, those levels are very subtle. Some of the reviews state that it is not super bright, but I believe the light is not too bright because it is meant to be directed at you and if it would be really hard on the eyes while talking, etc. So, I do believe there I a valid reason for that.If I could change one thing about this, it would be to have the base be a little heavier than it is but that is not a deal breaker.I love the small control piece that houses the buttons on the wire itself for easy hue or dimness changes at my fingertips.I think for the price it's a good quality light that serves its purposes and has a really good design. The adjustability alone makes it worth it and I use it every day.

This review is for the "Video Conference Light for Computer, Soft Zoom Lighting for Laptop Webcam Home Office, Dimmable Desk Ring Lamp with Stand for Video Calls, Meeting, Conferencing, Streaming."Assembly was super easy and fast. Controlling the light is also super easy. I especially like that I can adjust the light any way I want and the circular base keeps it upright- no tipping over: bonus lol.Is it super bright? No, but is adequate for working on hobbycraft, reading or inspecting things. The light box is well diffused too. Plenty of intensity settings and three different light temperature settings as well.I really don't see anything that would sway me not to recommend it. Price may be a bit high for having a short pole, but the listing pretty much shows what it is so I can't exactly fault it. One star removed for it not being as bright as I believe it should be. It's an otherwise worthy usable light imho.

Put bluntly, it largely does what it's supposed to: Be a bright, adjustable light that's suitable for a desk. It offers 3 different kinds of lighting (warm, cold, white), a sufficiently sturdy base, and an adjustable telescopic pole for you to adjust that light to any given angle you can think of. As for the light panel itself, it seems to be your standard Chinese LED panel with an attached wired controller and USB port - that is to say, it's nothing special. Another thing is that it does not have 10 brightness levels, or at least anything the naked eye will ever notice. It's really 7 with anything above the 7th level being unnoticeable. It's a hard sell for its price point, but the adjustable pole and sturdy base somewhat makes it worth it. Somewhat.
