The first thing I thought when I pulled this out of the box was "dang, this must be the metal tanks are made out of!". I exaggerate, but it is made of incredible sturdy metal all over, especially the handle. The tank holds a fair amount of fog juice, and operation is simple for this. I'm assuming the price is for the quality of the build and the amount of fog it emits (a lot!). as well as the quick warm up time in between fog bursts. There are no bells and whistles on this as there are on some other models for the price. Lights would be a nice addition, as well as a low liquid indicator and the ability to adjust the fog so you don't blow through it quite so quickly. Overall, very nice product and built to last through Armageddon.

This is a high quality machine that works great and puts out a lot of fog. I look forward to using this for Birthdays and Halloween!

We purchased this unit to simulate smoke conditions for structure fire training. After a few minutes of warm up it produces thick fog that does simulate smoke without thermal layer. It’s a very good and effective training aide for us.

As a mobile DJ in the past I’ve used pretty big, professional smoke machines that have tripped circuit breakers and set off smoke alarms, however I don’t do events that big anymore. That being said, sometimes I have an event where I need some smoke in a room to highlight some lasers or other lighting effects. This is a nice machine. At 1500 watts, you are best to put it on it’s own circuit if you can. You’ll need fog juice, so make sure to plan ahead and have a supply of your favorite brand. This was easy to set up and take down. It was easy to wipe down and keep clean. It didn’t take up a lot of room. It was as loud/quiet as I expected it to be and I didn’t have any issues with operation. The remote controls all worked as expected. It produces a pretty good volume of fog for its size so it’s good for mid-size to even large size rooms. There are cheaper options so you can save money with something smaller if you only do smaller venues or need something once a year for Halloween at your house. It seems durable enough that if you are a part time DJ, it will hang with you. If you’re a professional person and failure is not an option for shows, this should take care of your needs but I can’t speak to using it at that level. I’ve also not used it outdoors so I can’t speak to how well it works with that kind of dissipation.
