I didn't want to mount the camera to my licence plate cause my tailgate opens two ways. Flip down or swing open from passenger side. I often use the swing option and if the camera was mounted above the licence plate the camera would get damaged from being exposed when the tailgate is open. Only option mount the camera to the bottom of tailgate which worked out great. For the monitor didn't want to install it on the dash due to heat damage so I installed it above my rearview mirror,the suction cup won't stick cause of the blackout screen on windshield.So I used a thin small piece of plexiglass the suction mount sticks to it as if were glass on the other side 2 strips of 3m tape. So far so good.

I have been using this for several months now and I am happy with it's performance so far. It was easy to install and works as advertised. I chose this one because it was wireless but was concerned about how well it would work and how good the picture quality would be. I have been pleasantly surprised. The signal strength is decent and the picture quality is good. The night vision also works well and along with my backup lights, the picture is plenty clear at night. It also comes on almost immediately after putting the car in reverse. I was not expecting the picture to show up as fast as it does. The only reason for 4 stars and not five is due to the fact that the parking lines can not be adjusted. There was very limited space to install the camera above the license plate on my Camry so I'm not able to adjust the angle of the camera up high enough for the parking lines to properly line up with the parking space lines. But for the price, this system is a great option!
