Had to replace the valve in a Gaggia Classic Espresso machine because of calcification mineral build up stopping the flow of water…will be cleaning the machines very month to prevent this from happening again

The steam valve wears out over time. The o-ring must be replaced with a new valve otherwise steam will leak out of the top of the boiler and potentially damage wire terminals and the thermal fuse. So, it is great that this valve ships with the o-oring.
