We have a trawler with 1-1/4” stainless rail stanchions that are angled from the deck. Perfect fit, very sturdy fastener hardware, and easily adjusted to hold our kayak firmly when underway. So easy and quick to get the kayak in and out of the rack that I know we will use it a lot more now. Potential for dissimilar metal corrosion between the stainless steel hardware and the aluminum knobs for tensioning. I plan to periodically remove and Apply a small amount of waterproof grease.

Nice construction, clamps the rail well. My rotomolded kayak fits in nicely. Just be careful with the fasteners if you are installing while the boat is in the water. Having a second person to hold, or using a c-clamp will make it easier. One dropped nut could spoil your day.

The product came pretty much ready to go out of the box. We installed on our sailboat life line stanchions. Literally took 15 minutes to install the pair securely and we were done. Rugged and durable enough to hold our double kayak. Comes with eyelets to 'bungie' the kayak securely in place. Already had a few compliments at the Marina.

Seems to be solidly made. I like the covers over the foam. My only concern is that I hope it stands up over time to sun exposure. Only time will tell. It was easy to install. Holds my 10’ kayak firmly and is easy to load and unload even alone.
