I bought this in order to steam tamales in a pot. It was perfect for the job! Sturdy, well-made, the basket folds up smoothly and then opens out so I can place it in the pot. The size was just right to use in my roaster pan. I love the little feet on the bottom and the plastic handle on the top was great because it didn't get too hot to grasp. You can put it in the dishwasher to clean. Good value to the money. Very happy with this!

Highly recommend this steamer for my 6-quart pot because it doesn't scratch the bottom, is sturdy, & fits perfectly.

Easy to use, and store in the cabinet. Size fits well in my pot. Great to use when making baby food. Highly recommended!

I am a first time tamale maker and needed a steam basket. This one has worked very well. It has fit in two different larger pots. The first batch I ran out of water and scorched the steam basket and it cleaned up well! Whew! It took a beating from that mishap at no fault of its own but it’s still hanging in. I learned from my mistake since then. It is easily lifted from the pot with the center handle. Overall I have been pleased and will continue making tamales with it as long as it holds up.

This steamer is the perfect width and height for the IP Rio Wide, even with the feet down and adjustable handle up. Seems like it will work well and last. My only complaint is the darn paper sticker on the bottom of it which required scrubbing to remove.
