We used these to strap down a roof bag on a 1300 round-trip vacation.Had I not ordered these straps, I would have been in trouble on my trip. The RoofBag I ordered that was specifically for use with crossbars (which I had just purchased for this trip). However, the instructions it came with specified that you couldn't use it with cross bars that are close together, which is the case with a 2011 CRV. In that case, I am to use the other straps (that strap it through the car doors). But, those straps did not come with the bag. Luckily, I ordered these straps.They worked great with 2 minor issues.First: Straps that hold a soft carrier to the roof are like giant guitar strings. The noise was LOUD. However, all I had to do was put a twist in the strap (outside of the car) and the sound disappeared.Second: When we hit 80 mph (with semi’s whizzing by us) the clamp on the strap was not strong enough to hold the strap tight. Our carrier was going airborne and hitting the top of the car. The fix to that was after retightening the strap, just tie a knot in the excess fabric close to the clamp. That way, it could not slide back through the clamp.I thought that the fabric was strong and would recommend these to anyone that needs additional protection with a roof top luggage carrier.

Won’t stay tight. It get loose if you pull hard
