Very easy to use - I cut up butter and put a little in each slot. I use regular pancake mix (Kodiak cakes mix, add in a little cinnamon, brown sugar, and flax seeds). I spoon the batter in and then add a couple blueberries in and fold them in with chopsticks. I flip the pancakes over after about a min and a half or so with chopsticks and just keep an eye on them and flip again as needed. My kids love them. Works with chocolate chips or anything else you want to use as a filling

It was scratched when it arrived & the outside box was damaged. It also kept shutting off but was not hot yet.

I have a cast iron stovetop pan for ebelskivers also, so in comparison:Pros: This electric model is WAY EASIER to clean, truly non-stick. Easy to use, just push the on button to heat up. The ebelskivers tend to puff up better in this pan than in the cast iron; I don't know why.Cons: I think the heat is too high. They cook fast on the outside but need linger to cook the inside and there is no way to regulate or reduce the heat. So, I found I had to turn it off and back on during cooking to kind of lower the temp a bit so they cook more evenly. Tjhis worked perfectly though. All in all, pretty happy with it.
