Great for testing power of each leg of the receptacle. You can tell by the brightness of the lights whether you getting good currant, weak currant, or if it is plinking other than the blinker and flasher lights. Tells you that you have intermittent power on that terminal. Pretty useful if you are having trouble with trailer lights.

It's one of those things that "when you need it, you need it" and thankfully it's a relatively cheap less-than-$10-item.When we connected our Jeep tow vehicle to our motorhome, the taillights worked, but brake lights and turn signals did not work. So, I ordered this device and confirmed it's getting no electricity to those lights in question.This helped me positively determine an electrical issue and when the appropriate fuse was replaced, the brake and turn signal lights started working (and continue to work) just fine.Now, I've got a really neat tester that I'll likely never need again.It helped me in a pinch, so I don't regret buying it and it was less than $10 so I wasn't out much money. H owever, I really can never see needing this again. It was a good investment at the time.

Likes: easy, accurate and low cost. Easy to insert, found all my connections working properly and it was easily worth the low cost for a peace of mind. Dislikes: None. I just received this tester today and immediately put it into action and it performed great. I highly recommend this tester to check your 7 pin connector. I do have to say I saw this in another review that on the Chevrolet Silverado the indentation to insert it correctly is upside down - I have a 2018 Silverado 1500. We remedied this by taking a cell phone and placing the camera into the "selfie mode" and took a video with the camera facing the upside connector face to help in reviewing that all connections worked properly.
