Surprisingly high quality for the money, the design of this tent is great for taller people to still be able to sit up and move around. This isn't always the case at this size. The breathability of the design is very good thanks to the gap between the fly and floor, with mesh covering much of the internal area. Contact between the interior and exterior is limited if set up correctly, so condensation should not be an issue. It does well in wet conditions, with no noticeable leaks.I found it to be easy to set up once you have the layout of the ropes figured out - the structure really does depend on getting that right. An easy recommend.

This is a review for MC TOMOUNT 1-2 Person Backpacking Tent, Waterproof, Lightweight, Ultralight Nylon Tent for Outdoor Camping HikingThis is a very compact and light-weight tent. That was my first impression of it when I opened it. This is a serious backpacking tent, not a big box store econoline tent. The aluminum poles are high quality, and much better than fiberglass.I really appreciate having the natural colors. It's hard to find tents that blend in with the forest the way this one does. The colors are often bright, unnatural, and unpleasant. This one is different, and I like it.The stakes are better quality than those that come with most tents. The level of quality throughout makes this tent an excellent value.

This tent is very easy to set up. There are included directions, but they are hardly needed if you've ever set up a tent before. I had it up in less than 10 minutes and that includes taking pictures. I could probably put it up in less than five minutes if I was hurrying, not counting staking. The poles are aluminum which are stronger and lighter than fiberglass with no chance of splinters. All of the pole connection points on the tent felt reasonably sturdy. The tent material seems of sufficient thickness except for the tent floor which is the same thickness as the rest of the tent and so thinner than I'd like. There is also a seam right at ground level on the floor. I would never put this directly on the ground, so a ground sheet is absolutely required. The tent stakes are the aluminum Y style which work very well. There is a single self-adhesive repair patch as well as four pieces of material that presumably could be used with glue for repairs, though no glue is included. There is also a short piece of tubing that can be used to fix a pole if it gets bent. The tent is fairly roomy for sleeping, the footprint fits two air mattresses side by side. There isn't any room for anything else though, so gear is going outside which isn't unusual for a backpacking tent. There is some protection for gear under the rain fly, but none from ground water though. There are pockets along both short sides and some of the long sides, so that's really nice. There is a hook at the top for a light or fan. There are two vents in the top of the rain fly that can provide some ventilation.Overall, I'd say this was a very nice lightweight two-person tent for backpacking. It's not the most rugged of tents but that's the tradeoff for reducing weight. Like they say, "light, strong or inexpensive, pick any two". With some care though, it should last for several seasons.

Very impressed by the quality, exactly the specified weight. Have yet to test it in the wild
