Just what I needed. I crawl around under vehicles and I have bony hips, so this is nice to wear under my pants, especially when crawling around in gravel! I have two pairs and they've held up really well for how often I wear them. Yes the padding is just the right amount of cushion, I wouldn't want it to be any thicker, and it doesn't need to be.

I used these for basketball, but they're not as tight as I would have liked. The pads are very well placed.

For the price I guess this isn't a bad buy. If you have a high school football and was looking to use a girdle with pads in lieu of pads in football pants this isn't the girdle for you. If just looking for additional cushion this will give a little additional cushion
