I purchased this to check the water trays for my chickens, that I do not have yet. Hopefully soon, but for now, I can use it to check our own drinking water and the pH of the homemade vinegar that I make. It gives accurate readings, but the manual is kinda whack. It has a lot of jargon in it that makes me glad I dropped out of my chemistry major in college. It's small enough to carry with you, and it includes a protective carrying case.P.S. I read the other reviews left by people way smarter than I, and they also agree that it is very accurate.

This is a handy meter for aquarium water quality. It includes calibration vials, which I use when strips give me odd readings, and I want to double-check the accuracy and water quality.

This is an excellent digital device to test the pH levels in various situations. It is simple to use and comes with a carrying case, pH 4&7&10 buffers, calibration bottles, soaking solutions, and a lanyard. I ordered this for drinking water testing for higher alkalinity which is better for your health. Reliable Testing.

I'm a veterinarian and I thought a pH meter would be useful. This one does seem to work. It gave me a pH of 2.46 for distilled white vinegar, which seems accurate enough. However I'm not sure I did everything right. The manual was so full of technical jargon and details it was difficult to decipher the steps, much less why I was supposed to do the next thing. Also the meter arrived with crystals on it. I assume it's a harmless dried solution from a quality control test. It was a bit disconcerting though.

This is a nice set, and something I needed for a mundane purpose: to check against an electronic fish tank pH meter. The water for a fish tank should be between pH 6.7-7.8, and our old electronic gauge was reading 9.4! This meter confirmed that we were in the correct range (see photo 3). In addition, of course, it’s great for more important measurements, and comes with 3 reference solutions (pH of 4, 7, and 10). Batteries are pre-loaded in the instrument (4x AAA), and comes with a nice custom-fit foam carrying case.
