DESCRIPTION:This is for short-term (up to ~40 days) light-duty security, especially handy for dealing with habit/impulse control. It rechargable by a USB-C port. A USB-A to USB-C cable is included, but the charger itself is not.————————A PERFECT USE:This would be valuable for caregivers who manage prescribed medications for persons who may be unable to manage for themselves. Meds can be secured in a small lockbox, the timer set, and the lock opens at the desired time, and the lock emits a loud series of beeps to alert the person it is open and time to take the meds. This way the person gets access to their meds even if the caregiver is not present.————————OTHER POSSIBILITIES:1. Securing your workplace toolbox during lunch hour or off-shift time, to prevent co-workers from "borrowing" your tools.2. Securing a vehicle from unauthorized use, by passing the shackle through the vehicle key and then locking it to an immovable object. The shackle is 3/16" diameter, so you need a hole at least that size in your key.3. Habit control by placing your cell phone, cigarettes, candy, credit card, TV remote, etc. in a container and locking it away for a specific time.4. Establishing good school habits by locking away distractions to school work.————————PLUS POINTS:1. No key or combinations needed!2. There are only three buttons: Hours, minutes, and lock/unlock.3. The instruction sheet is clear.4. When setting the lock time, you scan/set the hour/minutes digits one by one. This is much faster than running the timer up from zero, and it is easy to set short durations, even less than a minute.5. There is a loud beep button-press confirmation and countdown sequence, but you can mute/unmute the beeps with a certain keypress sequence.6. There are three emergency unlock override key sequences built in. But once you use up the three, you don't get any more. You may wish to use these up right away if you want no overrides available.7. Battery charge level is shown on the display. If the battery goes flat while locked, you can just attach the charging cable and it will continue as programmed. There is enough reserve battery capacity to continue to time out even if the battery is flat and the display goes out.8. Press any key to light up the display for a few seconds - although the display is still readable with the backlight off.————————MINUS POINTS:1. This is a light-duty lock and should be used as intended.2. There is no clock. 999 hours is approximately 40 days. The display only shows hours/minutes/seconds, so you are on your own to figure out the number of hours needed.3. The display only shows time remaining, lock/unlock status, and battery level. It would be nice if it also showed the beep/mute status, you have to try that to set/mute it.4. Once the timer is running, you cannot add more time to it. You have to allow it to run down to zero first.————————OVERALL:The more I use this, the more uses I can think of for it.

After a few months it stopped opening when the timer ends. Tried wiggling it and discovered that's all it takes to get it open EVEN WHEN LOCKED. I would assume the other identical locks are the same.
Un coup sec permet de l'ouvrir facilement

Peu être ouvert très facilement avant la fin de la minuterie
