Gracias!!!

This is a memory game that can be played with fewer cards for young kids, or with all 100 cards for a group of teens or adults. It's all packed into a box that's smaller than I expected due to the cards being smaller than standard playing cards. The box is sized between an AirPods case and a small box of tea bags.If gaming with all 100 cards, you'll need enough space - as a square, it'll take up a minimum of 3x3 feet as 10 rows, 10 columns, but you can adapt the spacing any way you want in any shape. Of course you'll want to leave room on the table for your egg nog or whatever you're drinking. Each player takes their turn flipping over a pair of cards to reveal the flags on the other side, trying to get a match.I was impressed by the protective yet small packaging and the eco-friendly paper/ink. One card did have a flaw in it but I'm not docking a star for 1% of the cards having an issue. I've added pictures of the instructions (both sides, English and Spanish), both sides of the flawed card, a picture showing the relative size of the box, and the eco-friendly note.

Seriously, how can you use these as flashcards? I need flashcards with the flag on one side - WITHOUT THE NAME OF THE COUNTRY WRITTEN UNDERNEATH and the flag with the country on the opposite side. Imagine multiplication flash cards with the answers written on the side shown to the student. It doesn't work. I need to cut the names of the countries off each of these cards, then write the names on the opposite side before they will be of any use. That is why I gave these cards three stars. As for the quality of the cards themselves, they are top-notch! The cards are glossed card stock. I like the look; the colors are vibrant, and they slide easily when you use them. Menique, listen to this sixth grade teacher and produce a set of flashcards that are usable out of the box.

When I was young in Europe, we used to play "memory" all the time. I guess it's a good way for kids to learn stuff. We don't do that nearly as much in the United States, but my son is a vexillologist so I thought he would love this game of flags. I guess you could just learn the flags of the various countries while playing Memory, but it does show the flag on each card (and of course, there are a pair of each) but it also lists the English name for the nation and its capitol. So that's an exciting way to learn new facts, too. You get 100 cards (50 pair) and they include typical and recognizable flags, as well as more obscure ones. Georgia, for example, was unknown to me. But the colors are all bright and beautiful, the cards laminated to prevent sticky finger syndrome (where the paper gets all dirty from foods eaten while games are being played...) and there are instructions included, so that's always a gift. This would be fun for any kids close to their early teens. You'd have to be able to read to enjoy the cards to their fullest, but I guess smaller kids could just go by the colors in the flags. You know your kids levels best. There is a box to keep everything stored in, and there is no excessive packaging. Instructions in English and Spanish. Older people playing might need glasses to read the smaller print.

I got these for my kids to use and to add a fun element to my son's homeschooling. I am very happy with these cards. There are 100 cards total, 50 matches of countries and 1 card with instructions on how to play memory. The cards are really nice quality, with a laminated feel and not easily bent, they measure true to the size in the listing at 3.1" x 2.6". The pictures of the flags are clear and accurate, the cards also list the country along with the capital so they are great learning tools. The box they came in is rather underwhelming and Im sure will be torn within a few times of the kids opening and closing it and at that point the memory cards will be moved to a ziploc bag. The box measures 4" x 3" so it does securely hold the cards. Overall, I wish the box was made of better quality for storage purposes but I am extremely happy with the actual cards and information.

I ordered the Flags of Europe matching game for homeschooling my son, thinking it would be a fun and random way to learn about the flags of different countries. While we don’t need to learn them, I thought it could spark interest in learning the names of other countries and exploring more about them. The cards themselves are sturdy and should hold up well, but the box they come in is quite flimsy. I’ve already slightly torn it just trying to open it, and I can see it tearing further with kids or impatient hands. I’ll likely transfer the cards to a ziplock bag to keep them together. Overall, it’s a great concept with room for improvement in packaging. Too pricey at $20.00 for what it is!
