I used this melon baller from March 2021 until August 2022 when the larger end broke off (first picture). I thought I had taken good care of it, washing it by hand and never in the dishwasher. There was no problem in getting Mercer Culinary to honour their lifetime warranty after filling in their online warranty request.I received a the free and identical replacement within weeks and thanked the company in an email for the no fuss and quick free replacement The Client Service Specialist replied as follows: "For what it’s worth, this is the first time in over 4 years I have seen a melon baller fail the way yours did, so I imagine this one will last a good deal longer."You guessed it! After only two months of use, the larger end of my replacement melon baller broke off(second picture).I have already ordered a different melon baller from Amazon at a much lower price so that if it lasts only a year of so, I won't be as disappointed.

It does its job; balls melons. Good product.
