Nice little 1/2" drill. Good pistol grip with nice balance. Trigger and reverse switch easy to use. Variable speed at various torque settings up to 650 in lbs. Lightweight battery but only one for both tools. The LED work light is located at the base of the handle instead of by the chuck on the drill. The impact driver has the light close to chuck. Battery charger, battery and both tools come with a framed carrying case. Keep them in the tool box on my work truck. This was his review and does feel the set is a little pricey.

Tiene un pequeño retardo en el interruptor de encendido pero mantiene buen torque y lo mejor es que el peso es bien libero

I have been a big fan of Hitachi for a long time and have 4 different power tools from that brand (mostly saws). The quality of their brand seems to be pretty consistent and the normal 5 year warranty is on the high side of the industry. My father was a huge fan of Metabo tools and owned a set of their original impact drills and the original Hand Drill which I own now and it still works very well after 50+ years (and other German tools as well - I agree that overall Germans have a strong reputation in developing quality long lasting tools). With that said, acquisition/move in 2016 from Nurtingen to Shanghai, in my opinion has taken a hit in overall quality. I say that with confidence because my father gave me his Metabo Drill/Screwdriver and when comparing that german tank of a tool with these now made in China tools side by side, it is night and day. They work well, and get the job done, but I will assume that the longevity is not there. The first things that I have noticed are the trigger buttons (very loose and plasticky) the lock/directional toggle same, very flimsy and I do not think that it will take much for it to break (as you know just like the trigger, the toggle is used a lot in any job). Another piece which I feel as if it is a big let down, is the fact that they only include a single battery for a set of two drills (an additional batter you set me back around $40-50), so adding that to other options that include two batteries will put this at a price that is not compatible with the market.I have been given this product for an honest review, and after testing it, I would not recommend it. I also own a set of Milwaukee power drill/screwdriver, and though they are made in China, they are of superior quality as well. In my personal opinion the now Metabo HPT (which I assume stands for Hitachi Power tools) was a market share/reputation acquisition as opposed to having the intent of improving the Hitachi tools quality with German engineering. Please let me know if you found this helpful by clicking on the “Helpful” button below, or leave a comment below if you have questions or would like to see other pictures and I will do my best to answer it.
