I purchased the Metra 99-8251B mounting kit for my 2016 Toyota Tacoma, and I am thoroughly impressed! The kit fits perfectly with the dash, giving it a clean and factory-like appearance. I did have to modify it slightly to accommodate a chinese floating screen head unit, but I think that’s more of an issue with the radio, not the install kit. I wasn’t sure how sturdy the plastic brackets would be, but they’re solid!

Came with everything I needed to install, and it was nice to have two screen size options in case I upgrade the stereo in the future. Fits well with myHowever, one of the brackets for the dash mount piece was already snapped off when I got it, and it was inside two boxes that had no damage. Not a deal breaker for me, but I did expect a new product with no damage when buying a new product that has no damage.

This thing fills the entire bezel opening in the dash just like you'd want -- no gaps at all. In fact, it's a very snug fit trying to get the bezel on top of this mounting kit. I was worried that the soft-touch paint on this would be flimsy, but I can't scrape it off with my fingernail even if I try real hard. I like how this has an extra lip/recess around the double-DIN opening, it helps hide the fact that your aftermarket double-DIN is a bit smaller than the factory headunit.My only gripe is that the four corners of this mount kit face do not sit flush with the outside edge of the bezel, but this is a pretty easy fix by stacking washers behind the mount kit. I compared this to the Scosche kit and decided I liked the Metra better.
