This is a nice weight - good over a sundress on a cool summer day, but probably equally fine for fall and winter with the right layers. My daughter had been wearing some of her shirts in this fashion, so to save them from ruination, I ordered her this little shrug. My main concern is the button. They did send a spare, and I kept it, but she can't easily button or unbutton it at this time, and if she yanks it off over her head, I don't know how well it would hold up. Not really a flaw or fault of the item, just something to be aware of if you have a child who also likes to yank things off over their head.The color seemed true to the listing. It's a nice, deep blue. Soft. Comfortable and cozy, she said. She was upset when I took it away to wash it.I think this is a very good addition to any child's wardrobe, and will probably get at least one more.

My 8 year old is obsessed with this cardigan. It's held up pretty well, considering it's gone through the wash cycle many times. The material is on the thinner side and can get pretty wrinkly. But it's been a fall favorite in our steadily 73 to 68-degree weather. I think it runs a little big. As you can see, my average-sized, almost-9-year-old daughter could probably have gone down a size if she wanted.
