After having used this head for a few months, I really wanted to give it 5 stars, but it's not quite perfect.I really like the cold shoes on either side, and the ability to take the head attachment off and flip it for another cold shoe.The rubber seals on the top and bottom are nice too, and help make it a little more grippy.Having the ability to pan is nice, too.The problem, though, is it's almost impossible to tighten the ball to the amount you really need to. I often find it loosening, and this could be fixed easily if the handle on the side where a little bit bigger so you can put more leverage into tightening it. If they would do that, it would be just about perfect.

It's a simple, but well made accessory. If you don't need a complex rig, but still need to add some easy coldshoes, this is a great option. The lever lock for the ballhead functions well, even if it's slightly gritty. The panning feature is a nice touch too. Overall, it's just a helpful little accessory to have in your bag - given the variety of mounting options, you'll be surprised at the uses for it.

I always have accessories (mics, lights, receivers, monitors) that need to be added to my camera cage. This little ball head with cold shoes gave me a lot of options. This is all metal and well-machined and when locked down is solid. This ball head mount has rubber O-rings on the flat surfaces to keep the vibration from moving your item. I mount a small light on the ball head to aim it in any direction I want to. The extra cold shoes on the side allow a lot of options for my camera.

This is a very well made, adaptable mini ball head. There are two, cold shoe slots on the side of the main body and the ball head assemble end has a screw on piece that, on one side, is a cold shoe and, flip it over, and it the 1/4 screw extends through, so you can mount appropriate things.The machining, and the finish, are top notch. The threading is smooth. And the ball head locks into place strong and secure.This is a great device for your gimbal, perhaps your vid rack, etc.5 stars. You get a well made device, that's very versatile, compact, and only $15.00.
