Descripción

U should expect to possibly modify to fit ur lathe. I have the vevor metal lathe. I went to ace, bought a long bolt with the same mounting thread, cut off the head, then used it to replace the mounting bolt. Works excellent! Love it! A simple bolt with the head cut off an done!

It’s a great price for what it is, quality ain’t bad but you must fabricate some parts to improve rigidity. Seen some videos and little ideas here and there, then I came up with one improvement by using an aluminum rod stock I bought from Amazon, and it comes with a hole that’s perfect for the Sherline tool post screw size. I cut an insert for the pole itself, fitted inside of it so it can be brought back to its original form while allowing to use the original 5/32” screw from Sherline. It’s simple and effective without breaking the bank. Set like this really can get expensive when made specifically for the micro lathes, and I decided to take a shot on this one for the price was unbeatable, no regrets. It was fun to create a part/solution for the weakest point in this product that is the rigidity. Once the insert is fit into the original post, it is very sturdy. I found some used tool holders for a great price that fit this post perfectly, and better than the ones which came with it, besides the fact that look way better and well made. I’m happy, it was rewarding to achieve some good results with it afterwards. Nothing to lose, affordable, returnable, need to say more? Recommend! Try it and see what you can come up with to improve it!

What a terrible product the cam lock handle gets loose straight away the block is made of cheap aluminium and when i lock the tool it still moves
